Christmas Church

A Christmas Church SVG file from SVGCuts.com.  This one is called Silent Night and I made it using Deck the Halls DSP (retired)  Honestly, I usually try the patterns with retired paper first – and goodness knows, I have enough of it!

I used lots of “snow” on the church.  Here’s my tip for using snow – don’t vacuum before you start because you will have to vacuum again!  That, and use lots of grid paper underneath to catch all the extra. Here’s a photo of the church with the tea lights shining through –

Very blurry – sorry.  My flash kept trying to come on.  But it gives you an idea of how cute it is when lit.

I’m stamping with friends all day today!  Hugs, Fran

Let it Snow Banner

Cute banner – but I really don’t want any snow!  I could go the entire winter without it   But this is a Create a Banner kit banner and I have had a great time making these. My “tip” is to spray the back of the stencils lightly with spray adhesive and use a sponge dauber to apply the ink.   To make the “Let it” stencil, I used My Digital Studio and my Eclips.  I simply imported the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit alphabet letters into ECAL and sized them to fit inside the circle (which is 3 1/2 inches, if you’re trying itself!)

Supplies
Build a Banner Simply Created Kit
Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit
Ink – Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Island Indigo
My Digital Studio – Build a Banner Simply Created Kit alphabet
Sponge daubers

I’d love to give you the number for the alphabet, but Safari isn’t playing nicely with me this morning.  If I find it later, I’ll add the info!  Hugs, Fran

Tiny Stars Tag

These tags were made with office tags as a base.  Inspired by several seen on Pinterest, I wheeled the tags with my Music Note wheel in Soft Suede and then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake.  Some of the stars are die cut – some are punched.  You can use any stars you have – or maybe you’ll think of something else (like ornaments?) to decorate the front!  The sentiments are from the new Photopolymer set Endless Wishes.  This set is packed full with little words and snowflakes. You could even decorate the fronts with the snowflakes!

Stamp Sets – Music Note wheel, Endless Wishes
Card stock – Shimmery White, Office tags
Ink – Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Etc – Soft Sued taffeta ribbon, oval punches, stars, gold floss

Tags are so much fun to make because they go so quickly.  But, then again, they go quickly when wrapping too!  Hugs, Fran

Clearly Winter Wishes

This picture is something of an optical illusion – there really is no bend in the card but the light makes it look that way!  This is the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base, the Warmth & Wishes stamp set, and Winter Frost Designer Series paper.  I also added some of the foil card stock – and this card really shines!

On the inside I used Karen Burniston’s new Multi- Tier insert cut out of acetate.  The Winter Frost DSP had a beautiful design on the flip side and I didn’t want to cover it.  I cut the acetate with the insert, stamped it using White Stazon and let the design shine through. I also added some rhinestones to the some of the snowflakes.

I stamped the trees in Versamark and embossed them with silver embossing powder.

Here you can see the mechanics of the card.  Love how the trees float!

Stamp Set – Warmth & Wishes
Card stock – Whisper White, Silver Foil, Winter Frost
Ink – Versamark, Coastal Cabana, Soft Suede
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base with Multi Tiered insert by Karen Burniston, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Silver Ribbon, Acetate, Rhinestone, Silver Embossing Powder, Framelits

Hanging Ornaments

How funny!  Check out the rhinestones in the center of these ornaments!  Some of them have moved   And I didn’t even notice it until now.  Well – I’d suggest you put the rhinestones in the center of the ornaments instead of willy nilly all over the card!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Christmas Collectibles, Christmas Messages
Card Stock – Whisper White
Ink – Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Etc – Dotted embossing folder, Baker’s Twine, Ornament punch, rhinestones (!)

Silly me!  Hugs, Fran

Merry Little Christmas Tree

A Merry Little Christmas to you – and a Season of Style!  I used the Season of Style and the Sizzix Evergreen Tree die to create this card.

The wainscoting idea is from Karen Burniston herself – so cute on the inside and so easy to do with the Simply Scored Scoring tool!  The sentiment on the left is a

Calling Santa

No stamping – but a lot of fun   This little box is an SVG file called “Call Me.”  I turned it into a Santa Hotline – everyone needs one of those, don’t they?  I used the Season of Style Designer Series paper and added some touches of Silver Glimmer paper.

Cute – you can fill it with chocolate in case Santa is busy and you are put on hold!

The words are hard to read.  I will have to try a different font next time.  But that’s the idea!  Hugs, Fran

Giving Gifts

Have you seen the Extra Large gift boxes in the Holiday mini?  They are really big – 6 x 6″!  And even though I had read the dimensions in the catalog, I was still impressed with the size.  I took one and wheeled Music Note (120327) over the entire box and made a paper bow with the new Gift Bow die (129977) from the Holiday mini.  I added a tag using Love & Joy.  I stamped it once in Old Olive and then again in Cherry Cobbler and cut out the “&” and popped it up.

My youngest went back to school this weekend.  We packed her up in the middle of a thunderstorm – unloaded in 90 degree weather and then topped it off with more storms – whew!  But she’s there, safe and sound – it was Mom that needed a nap!  Hugs, Fran

Christmas Collectibles

A little Christmas card – showing off the new ornament punch.  This is a great set and it comes as bundle! (133282 wood or 133283 clear)  I used the Season of Style Designer Series paper and some Baker’s Twine to make this card.

Stamp Sets – Christmas Collectibles, More Merry Messages
Card stock – Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Season of Style DSP
Ink – Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Etc – Oval Framelits, Ornament punch, 1/2 Circle punch, Baker’s Twine, Dotted embossing folder

I’m teaching my Season of Style Journal class today!  Looking forward to an organized, creative Fall (fingers crossed)  Hugs, Fran

A Calm Christmas Pop N Cuts

Pop N Cuts!  My favorite   Here’s a Christmas card using the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base die and Label insert.  I decorated the outside with Calm Christmas – the dove embossed in silver embossing powder.

On the inside I used Christmas Collectibles and a single stamp – Prince of Peace.  This set goes with the Deco Label Framelits so it works perfectly with the Label insert.

To get the different colors on the stamp, I inked it up in Pool Party and then went  over the selected words with an Island Indigo Stampin Write Marker.  The ornaments were stamped twice – once in Versamark and embossed in silver and once in Bermuda Bay to punch for the centers.  The ornament lines and accents on the card were cut from the new Silver Foil card stock – so pretty!  The sentiment on the Whisper White piece is half of the sentiment from Calm Christmas – embossed in silver.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Calm Christmas, Christmas Collectibles, Prince of Peace
card stock – Whisper White, Bermda Bay, Silver foil, Winter Frost DSP
Ink – Versamark, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base and Label insert, Deco Label Framelits, Ornament punch, 1/2″ circle punch, rhinestones, Silver ribbon, Scallop Edge punch.

I’ll have some more Halloween for you soon.  Hugs, Fran
