Pop a Million

One thing I love about the Soho Subway in the new catalog is how the paper can stand alone in it’s design.  I love the BIG numbers and used it with the SU Pop N Cuts base to create the front of this card.

The only things added are the flower (from Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet), the sentiment and the tiny strip of Crisp Cantaloupe.

I used a Sizzix insert called Funky Label and added more Timeless Type numbers and a little banner made with the 7/8 scallop punch.

The numbers are on fishing line – and attached to each other so they weren’t flopping all over the place!

I also stamped off an image from Clockworks on the sentiment – just for fun.  The Happy Birthday is also stamped directly on the DSP.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – One in a Million, Bring on the Cake, Clockworks
card stock – Soho Subway DSP, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink – Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet, Sizzix Funky Label insert and Framelit, 7/8 Scallop punch, fishing line

It’s a very busy card!  Hugs, Fran

Little Clay Flowers

A little tag – so cute – sprouting a clay flower!  This is one of the make and takes we did at my open house last week.  The tag is 2 1/2 x 3 (2 1/12 x 6 scored at 3) run through the Big Shot with the Dotted embossing folder.  The vase is in Pool Party and Wild Wasabi and the clay flower is Crisp Cantaloupe.  I took a piece of clay and formed it into a cup – added a few drops of reinkers – and stuck the whole thing into a baggie.  This kept my hands clean and also helped stored the left over clay.  Fun!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Bright Blossoms
card stock – Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White
Stampin Write Markers – Pool Party, Wild Wasabi
Etc – Oval punch, Dotted embossing folder, clay and clay mold (Crisp Cantaloupe reinker)

Hope you had a nice long weekend- we did!  The weather even cooperated   Hugs, Fran

Chalk Talk Again

I promise to put this set away (for a day or two) after this one last card.  For this Chalk Talk card I abandoned the chalkboard technique and backed the focal panel in white.  I also used the other embossing folder in the Delicate Designs set – just because!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Chalk Talk
Card stock – Whisper White, Epic Day DSP, Silver Glimmer, Pool Party
Ink – Pool Party
Etc – Delicate Design embossing folder, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, small heart punch, basic rhinestone

Okay – pick one!  It might end up as my swap for convention   Hugs, Fran

More Chalk Talk

It’s a variation on a theme!  I changed up this card by adding a Pool Party base and a Basic Black Border.  I can’t believe how it changes the look.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Chalk Talk
Card stock – Whisper White, Epic Day DSP, Basic Black, Silver Glimmer, Pool Party
Ink – White Craft ink
Etc – Delicate Design embossing folder, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, small heart punch, basic rhinestone

I may try this again!  Hope you’re enjoying your weekend   Hugs, Fran

Chalk Talk Sneak Peek

Mixing the chalkboard technique with some Glimmer paper – works for me   This is a new set in the upcoming catalog called Chalk Talk.  I don’t have the matching framelits (again – yet!) but this image was easy to cut out.  I used the Epic Day Designer Series paper cut in strips for the background and a Delicate Design embossing folder on the Whisper White.  The hearts are a variety of framelits and punches.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Chalk Talk
Card stock – Whisper White, Epic Day DSP, Basic Black, Silver Glimmer
Ink – White Craft ink
Etc – Delicate Design embossing folder, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, small heart punch, basic rhinestone

All sorts of things going on here!  Hugs, Fran

Feel Goods

This is the new Designer Series paper – Gingham Garden.  I have paired it up with the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base and an insert called 3-D Label.  One of the coolest things about the Pop N Cuts base is that it will all the inserts that Sizzix makes.  This one swings – so your decorations work on the inside and out.  I inked my Feel Goods stamp in Strawberry Slush (because I don’t have a marker, yet!) and then colored over some of the words with and Island Indigo marker.

On the little inside label I used Fabulous Phrases to stamp Hi Friend and the small heart punch.  See how my outside is now my inside?

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Feel Goods, Fabulous Phrases
card stock – Gingham Garden DSP, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink – Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzaz
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, small heart punch, Label Window insert and matching framelit, Edge & Scroll die

Tomorrow is my New Catalog Open House!  You will get your new catalog and be able to play with a few new products.

Pop N Cuts Traveller

Graduation?  Retirement?  Study Abroad?  This card has a long history and ended up looking absolutely nothing like the card at the beginning. I really like the Epic Day Designer Series paper and it became the focal point for everything else in the card.  The hexagons on the front were cut with my ecutter because I don’t have a hexagon punch – yet! (hint, hint)

And she’s off!  She has her bags packed, her maps and passport (yes, that’s a passport – or a book to read)  She’s mapped out her past or future travels and visited the travel agent. And she’s got her camera ready.

The map, Bon Voyage sign, airplane and arrow are from My Digital Studio.  The dots on the map were made with the tiniest circle on the Owl builder punch.

The luggage is all made with the Ticket punch.

The camera is the only thing left from the original card idea!  Ah well!

The travel brochure is also made with the ticket punch.  The map is My Digital Studio.  I decided to let the DSP speak for itself for the bottom of the card.  It was too pretty to cover up.

Where is your Pop N Cuts Dress Form gal headed this summer?

Supplies
Stamp Set – Word Play
card stock – Whisper White, Epic Day DSP, Chocolate Chip DSP, Island Indigo
Ink – Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, Dress Form framelit, Ticket punch, 1/4 square punch, Owl punch, 1/4 circle punch, My Digital Studio, Window Framelits

Now back to setting up for my New Catalog open house this Thursday!  I can’t believe it’s time for unveil the new book!  Come join us   Hugs, Fran

Papillon Washi

This little 3 x 3 shows off the new washi tape – and is in one of my favorite colors combos.  I took a scrap piece of Whisper White and added some Epic Day washi tape then die cut it with a Label Framelit.  The butterfly was stamped in the new Smokey Slate.

The dots were punch with the Owl punch in Strawberry Slush.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Papillon Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Wishes
card stock – Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink – Basic Gray, Smokey Slate
Etc – Butterfly punch, Owl punch, Label Framelits, Epic Day Washi Tape

3 x 3’s are nice to have around to tuck into gifts, lunch bags, under pillows – anywhere you need a little note.  Hugs, Fran

Goodbye Kindness Matters

I almost said “goodbye to kindness” – but that doesn’t sound right!  These are some cards I did using Kindness Matters and En Francais.  The butterflies under the sentiment on this one are done in bleach.

On this scaled down version, the butterflies are done using the Illuminate pad.

All the antennas are fishing wire dipped in glue and then Dazzling Details.  Sad to see it go!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Kindness Matters, En Francais , Netting
Card stock – Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, First Edition DSP, Pink Pirouette
Ink – bleach/illuminate, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette
Etc – Beautiful Butterflies die, pleated ribbon, Itty Bitty shape punches, circle punch, pearls, fishing line.

So Kindness does matter – even if it’s retiring!  Hugs, Fran

Tiny Tag Tree

I have jars and jars of buttons (!) so when I saw this idea of creating a tree with them, I jumped on it!  (And it didn’t even leave a dent in my button jars)  I started by making a triangle the size that I wanted for the card and then choosing buttons, pearls and beads to fill it in.  Some of the buttons are various clear buttons from SU that I backed with Comfort Cafe Designer Series and Silver Glimmer paper.  I threaded most of them with linen thread – some are just topped with pearls.

Sometimes I think Stampin Up is looking in my window because as soon as I decided to add the Tiny Tags “Merry”, it went on the Retiring List!  (So hurry up and grab it before it’s gone!)  The Snowflakes are cut with my Snow Flurry die – which is steel ruled and cuts through the Glimmer paper beautifully.  I added lots of Dazzling Details – sparkle, sparkle!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Tiny Tags
Card stock – Whisper White, Neutral Pack, Soft Suede, Comfort Cafe Designer Series paper, Silver Glimmer paper
Ink – Soft Suede
Etc – BUTTONS!, Snow Flurry die, linen thread, Dazzling Diamonds, glue, pearls, beads

I think there are lots of designs that could be done with buttons – so grab your jars of buttons (please tell me you have them too) and start creating!  Hugs, Fran
