Bewitched Pop N Cuts

I need a card to go with my Halloween suite of projects – don’t you agree?  I had to use my exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert because it’s my favorite!  I love the closure on the base – and I love how it shows just a peek of the paper inside.  This paper from Witches’ Brew is the easiest paper in the world to create a card.  I didn’t have to do a thing!  The design on the paper made a perfect base for what I had in mind.

I just punched out this “warning” and adhered it to the funny witches’ menu style paper, added a strip of Pumpkin Pie card stock and that was that.

So here she is – making potions!  She has her spell book, hat, candle, wand, broom and cauldron.  She is ready to cast some spells!

I added googlie eyes across the top the card.  There are weird little dots on the paper – I just filled them with eyes.  I also added some glitter stars so she’d have a bit more sparkle.  One of the papers in Witches’ Brew looks like book paper so it made a perfect spell book.  The witches hat has an Orange Stampin Glitter band.

To make her dress, I cut off the top of a Dress Form Framelit with the Full Heart punch and added the ears from the Owl Builder to the shoulders.  Then I covered the entire piece with Two Way glue and Black Stampin Glitter.  I had one star left so I adorned her top with that. Her necklace is pearls colored with a Sharpie Marker.  For the skirt, I traced the skirt and made it longer then free-hand cut the edge.  The cauldron is a 1 1/2″ circle punch cut straight across the top.  The feet on the cauldron are another Dress Form Framelit bottom – just snipped to fit behind the cauldron.

Then I embossed across the top using the Delicate Design embossing folder.  I covered it with Dazzling Details.  The foam in the cauldron is vellum card stock brayered in Pear Pizazz and accented with pearls and more Dazzling Details.

Supplies
Card Stock – Witches’ Brew DSP, Basic Black, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Vellum card stock, Pumpkin Pie
Ink – White Craft, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry
Etc – SU exclusive Pop N Cuts base die and Dress Form insert and Framelit, 1 3/4″ Circle punch, pearls, linen thread, googlie eyes, Dazzling Details, Orange and Black Stampin Glitter, Full Heart punch

I love creating things for Halloween because there are no rules and I love my Pop N Cuts die   Hugs, Fran

A Little More Halloween

My Halloween collection needed a few things to make it completely stylish – so I added a shoe and cauldron to go with the witches’ hat centerpiece.  These are cut files from SVGcuts (Party on Elm Street and Love Always.)  The shoe was in a collection of wedding themes – but hey!

The bow on the shoe is the new Gift Bow die in the Holiday Mini – and the center is from Toil and Trouble stamped in White Craft ink.  I punched it out in a circle and used my Simply Scored to make score lines on the sides so that it not only fit but had a area for glue.  The bow is Washi tape folded back on itself so that it is double sided (and not sticky.)  This is a very stylish witch!

Stamp Set – Toil and Trouble
Card stock – Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Sycamore Street (retired)
Ink – White Craft
Etc – Gift bow die, 1 1/4″ circle punch, Simply Scored, Dazzling Details, SVGcut files, Witches’ Brew Washi tape

Wildflower Meadow

This card is cased from one I got at convention during general swapping. The original was created by Diane Harman.  I changed the colors and sentiment – but used the layout.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Wildflower Meadow, Petite Pairs
Card stock – Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar
Ink – Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar
Etc – Wildflower Meadow embossing folder, Oval punch, scalloped oval punch, pearls

I really like this color combo – very soothing.  Hugs, Fran

Four You

Four You saved my swap last week   I had die cut all the pieces for a swap at my team meeting when I suddenly realized that the HI in the set wouldn’t die cut.  I didn’t really have time to start over – so I started scanning my shelves in search for a set that would fit on the label and convey the same feeling.  I embossed the Hello in white – and it was ready to go.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Four You
Card stock – Whisper White, So Saffron, Real Red, Pool Party, I Am Me DSP
Ink – Versamark
Etc – White Embossing Powder, small heart punch, Real Red Ribbon, staple, Label Thinlit

My new Thinlits are on their way here – but in the meantime, I have this card.  Hugs, Fran

Coffee Love

Coffee and love – a great combination.  This card uses the SU exclusive Pop N Cuts base die and the Full Heart punch to express that feeling.  The coffee bean embossing folder is from Sizzix and matches………

their Mug and Hearts insert designed by Karen Burniston.  I used SU’s Early Espresso Coordinations card stock and went over it with my sanding block for a very distressed look.  The “cafe” is another embossing folder that came bundled with the beans.

The hearts are a movers and shapers type of insert.  I used the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series paper.  The smoke is really a heart cut from Vellum card stock.

I really sanded the embossing here – and then went over the word with a Real Red Stampin Write Marker.

Supplies
Card stock – Early Espresso coordinations, Polka Dot parade DSP, Epic Day DSP, Real Red, Vellum card stock
Ink – Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Real Red
Etc – SU Pop N Cut base, Mug and Hearts insert and embossing folders, Real Red Stampin Write Marker, Full Heart punch, Large Pearl, Cute Clip

With a Starbucks gift card – this would be perfect!  Hugs, Fran

Festive Flip

Here’s a new Label Thinlit card using Festive Flurries and Winter Frost Specialty paper to create a card.  I cased this design from one Shelli did on stage – but changed a few things to work with the supplies I had on hand.  The sentiment is Merry Little Christmas embossed in silver.

Something you should know about these Thinlit cards is that they can not handle heavy embellishments in the center of the card.  I originally used a snowflake Frosted Embellishment in the center of the snowflake and it was so heavy the card kept falling over!  Light and east with these

Stamp sets – Merry Little Christmas, Festive Flurry
card stock – Shimmery White, Whisper White, Winter Frost DSP, Silver Glimmer
Ink – Versamark, Coastal Cabana
Etc – Thinlits Label die, silver embossing powder, Northern Flurry embossing folder, rhinestones. Adorning Accents Edgelit, Silver ribbon

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Color Me Christmas Tree

Here’s another card using the Circle Thinlits (133480
) and Color Me Christmas.  This is simple paper piecing.  I stamped the tree on 3 different pieces of Season of Style Designer Series paper (132340) and cut one layer of the tree from each.  Then I just layered them over the image.  I also used Wishing You ( 131748) to add some little packages to the corner.

The Regal Candy Dots fit perfectly on the tree – just follow the image!  Very easy – Very Cute!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Color Me Christmas, Wishing You
card stock – Old Olive, Whisper White, Season of Style DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler
Etc – Circle Thinlit, Regal Candy Dots, Silver ribbon, Season of Style Washi Tape

So I’m showing Christmas cards and it’s hot and humid here today.  Wishful thinking   Hugs, Fran

Haunted Halloween

It’s August 1 and I’m messing around with Halloween projects   This is a SVG cutting file (SVGcuts.com – Maple Manor) that makes a 3-D house – decorated for Halloween.  I cut this with my Sizzix Eclips.  The paper is from the Holiday Mini and is called Witches’ Brew.  The stamp on the front dorr is Toil & Trouble and the little banner on the porch is from Halloween Bash.  I also added a picket fence with a very old Sizzix die. The bats flying over the house are the retired bat punch.

This shows it with the lights off and the house lit.  Spooky!  There are 3 tea lights inside.

And I thought I’d throw this picture in so you can get an idea of how large this house really is!  It took 14 sheets of 12 x 12 Basic Black and 5 sheets of Witches’ Brew DSP to put together.   Now – back to summer!  Hugs, Fran

Snowflakes

Does this look familiar?  I cased myself – I took the front elements from this card and made a “regular” card.

Stamp Sets – Festive Flurry, Christmas Messages
Card stock – Whisper White, Winter Frost DSP, Silver Glimmer
Ink – Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Versamark, Smokey Slate
Etc – Scallop Edge punch, Festive Flurry Framelits, Frosted Finished Embellishments.

The Holiday Mini starts August 1 – and I’m so excited!  Hugs, Fran
p.s. Anyone have an idea on getting my sleep back on track after traveling?

Color Me Christmas Sneak Peek

This is a cute little Christmas set called Color Me Christmas.  It will be available August 1st and has 5 little Christmas images.  I chose the reindeer for this card because he’s so handsome   I used a new Thinlit die called Circle Label which will also be available on the 1st.  It cuts a flip card and a few other pieces to decorate.  Unfortunately I’m having a problem with a few of the pieces so I hope to get that resolved today.

Mr Reindeer’s suit is paperpieced over the watercoloring I did.  His nose is a pearl colored with a Sharpie.  This Designer Series paper is the new Season of Style.  I actually did the chevron with the little Thinlit in the set – but it could also be done with the Chevron Border punch.

Some Washi tape and a few sentiments finish it off – oh! and a jingle bell tied to the top!

Stamp Sets – Color Me Christmas, Merry Little Christmas, Christmas Messages
card stock – Water Color paper, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Season of Style DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler
Etc – Thinlit Circle Label die, Christmas Washi tape, pearl, Sharpie, jingle bell, Cherry Cobbler baker’s twine, 2 1/2 circle punch

I can’t wait for the Holiday Mini to go live!  Hugs, Fran
