Monster Birthday

What a Monster Birthday card!  I started with the Gerda Steiner set Monster Fun and colored up the images using my Copic markers.  I fussy cut the images and added the blue monster with his daily mocha and some presents to the front.

Inside I used the Karen Burniston Cupcake Pop Up die and the rest of the cute images to make a birthday card.  The dots on the paper where punched – just needed a bit more interest.  Super fun!   Hugs, Fran

Paper Pros Challenge – What’s in a Name?

This month’s Paper Pro challenge was to pick a die that uses the first letter of your name.  I chose the Fancy Label die and used the Coffee Charms – that’s so me!  I also used the Fancy Label Frames and the retired Stampin Up coffee paper.

The charms that are hanging are the coffee charms – the coffee cups across the bottom are cut from the paper.

I even tied a little sentiment to the stirrer!  Make sure to check out the other Pros – lots of fun designs!  Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Design Team July Challenge – Sweet Summer

Sweet Summer!  For this month’s design challenge I chose the new Karen Burniston Crosshatch Circle and Circle Charm dies to make a donut card.  The little girl image is a Tiddywinks Digi stamp.

Inside features  donut charm from the Sweet Treats charms dies and the word Sweet from Summer Words.  The icing was hand cut – just die cut a circle and “go wavy” around it!

There’s lots of sparkle and glossy accents to make the icing on the donuts shine.  Sorry the camera angle is a bit off!  Make sure to check out the other designers today and Karen’s post tomorrow.  It will be sweet 🙂  Hugs, Fran

A Day Late

A day late AND using retired products!  This is the Karen Burniston Spinner Square and the Truly Tailored suite from Stampin Up.

This Spinner Square is so easy to adapt to any theme/stamp!  The block is large enough to show off any sentiment or image.  Hugs, Fran

On the Farm

This is my Father’s Day card for my dad.  I used all kinds of stuff to make this card!  The stamps are MFT Animal Farm and the sentiment is Stampin Up’s Stitched All Around.  Those cute clouds are Karen Burniston’s Outdoor Scenes. The card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 Crumb Cake with Old Olive patterned paper.

Inside features the Karen Burniston Tree Pop Up and the House & Fence Pop Up.  I fashioned the house to match our farm house by stenciling the background with a brick stencil very lightly – going for the look of stone.   The grass is also from the Outdoor Scenes die.

I made a few simple boxes to pop up some of the animals and some are attached directly to the back.  I had to trim the tree (!) so the horse could peek through!  And  yes, we raise black angus cattle so the poor dairy cow had to have a make over!

The sentiments are from Stampin Up’s Another Wonderful Year and Truly Tailored (retired.)  This is when I realize I’ve used a birthday sentiment!!  So in the final version I’ve covered up the birthday part with Happy Father’s Day!  Sheesh!  Hugs, Fran

Lots of Cake

I’m using up some retired Stampin Up paper and stamps making cakes! 🙂  This card also uses the Karen Burniston Cake Trim on the front.

Inside is the Karen Burniston Cake Pop Up and some fun animal images fussy cut from paper.

With an elephant on top because – why not?  Too much fun!

Here’s a more elegant cake card, again using up retired paper and products.

The soft colors make such a pretty cake.

The Cake Trim is done in glitter paper.  Just making the most of my stash!  Hugs, Fran

Paper Pros Challenge June – Food and Drink

The Paper Pros challenge this month is Food and Drink and I have a cute KB Circle Charm for you.  I started with some new SU paper – Broadway Bound – and the Karen Burniston Circle Charm die and Coffee Charms.  The cupcake is fussy cut from the paper but you could also use the KB Birthday Charms die to make one 🙂

Inside the Birthday Charm Charm cupcake is suspended in the middle.  The sentiment is from SU Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

Here’s a closer look and the center with the “lights” turned down so the vibrant colors don’t knock your eyes out!  Make sure to check out the other Pros and we eat, drink and be merry this month!.  Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston June Challenge – The Great Outdoors

This month the Karen Burniston Design Team Challenge is The Great Outdoors!  I started with a 5 x 7 card base and decorated it with the Tropical Scene and Outdoor Scenes dies.  The sentiment is a new Stampin Up set called Stitched All Around and is backed with the new KB Rectangle Cross Hatch dies.  The little monkey is from Mama Elephant’s Little Monkey Agenda.

Inside I used both the Kb Palm Tree and new Tent pop ups! And lots of monkeys!  It’s easy to combine both these dies on this size card.  You just need to make sure they don’t catch on each other as they open and close.

Some of the monkeys are attached directly to the tent and tree and others are glued to the Baker’s twine.  This is done by die cutting 2 monkeys and sandwiching them between the twine.

I attached two small Palm trees by using the extra piece in the Tent Pop Up die.  I just attached these to the base of the Palm Tree. This was a fun card to make.  Check out the other designers now and see Karen’s challenge card on Wednesday. Hugs, Fran

Simply Cake

I am using up some very, very old paper and making birthday cards!

Doesn’t really matter what paper you use, the Karen Burniston Cake Pop up makes them awesome 🙂  This one sits on a Stampin Up doily (which is hard to see in a photo.)

The trim is done with the Cake Trim die and glitter paper.  Something pretty for my stash.  Hugs, Fran

Birthday Monkey Around

A Karen Burniston Tag Book featuring Mama elephant’s Little Monkey Agenda!  The front also features the Pam Tree Pop Up.  These monkeys are up to fun!

Inside the monkeys are are having a great time swinging from Palm Tree Pop Ups!  Each monkey is colored with Copic markers.

I also used the Tropical Scenes die for the base of the Tag Book.  I just added some trees to the stabilizing pieces.

There are a few monkeys hiding in other places too 🙂  Lots of fun!  Hugs, Fran
