It’s almost time for the Holiday Mini catalog to be released! This little card is made with the Shake & Celebrate set for the sentiment. Since this set is photopolymer, it’s easy to bend it slightly on the block to fit it in the Bunch of Banners die. The star is cut with with the Star die and outlined with a gel pen. I used the Cable Knit Dynamic embossing folder for the background and some burlap behind the star. The little berries are pearls colored with an alcohol marker. Very simple but very sweet. Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – Girly or Ghouly
I say “Ghouly!”
This challenge is a Halloween challenge – Girly or Ghouly. I started with the Karen Burniston Pop It Ups Accordion Circle Card die, the Bat Stencil, Iron Fence Pop Up AND the Halloween Scene die! Yep – I went a little crazy!
And as you peer through the card, you’ll see it just gets worse 🙂
On the left inside panel I continued with the fence and spider – cutting out the center of the Accordion Circle die.
The center panel uses the Halloween Charms dies – ghost and pumpkins. Love the 3-D ghost!
The bats and spiders are cut from Stampin UP’s Black Glimmer paper and the sentiment is from Spooky Fun. And it was fun putting this scene together. Make sure you check out Karen’s Facebook page and blog for more spooky or girly inspiration! Hugs, Fran
Cookie Cutter Pop It Ups
I’ve combined some of my favorite things on this card – Christmas, Pop It Ups and Gingerbread Men! The front of this card uses some of the new Stampin Up Holiday Mini sets – Candy Cane Christmas and Cookie Cutter Christmas and a new Pop It Ups die – Anita Frames Pop It Ups!
Isn’t the Anita Frames Pop It Ups fun? And it’s really easy to assemble – love that! My gingerbread men are enjoying it too 🙂 They come with a matching punch that made this card super easy to put together! Hugs, Fran
Christmas Pines
Christmas Pines is a huge set – 22 pieces – with a matching die! There are several different sizes of pine boughs and pine cones. It also has some very pretty sentiments. This simple card also uses a cut out from the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series paper. Hugs, Fran
Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – Flower or Flour
Flower or Flour? I chose flower. The front of my card features the flower die from Karen Burniston’s Flower Pot Pop Stand surrounding at heart stamped with Layering Labels. The card size is 5 1/2 x 6 1/2.
On the inside I stenciled the flower pot with Karen’s flower Stage it Stencil. The flowers are done in white with a So Saffron heart on a wire in the center.
Check out all the other cards on Karen’s blog and Facebook page! Hugs, Fran
Amazing Rocky
Guess what I watched last night? The opening ceremonies of the Olympics! And it inspired me to make this card. Whoever was the first person to figure out how to make the flag using the Swirly Bird dies is a genius and I salute you! I used it for the front of my patriotic card.
Inside I used Karen Burniston’s Cake Pop It Up die to make a platform for Rocky – who has clearly won the gold! The bottom of the stand is just covered with a piece of Real Red. The sentiment is from Banners for You with the Bunch of Banners Framelits.
The Olympic circles are and medal are punches and circle dies. (The punch for the circles is the 1 1/4″ with a circle die to the outside.) Doesn’t he look happy to win! Hugs, Fran
Flower Pot Surprise
This simple 6 x 6 card holds a fun surprise –
A Pop It Up Flower Pot Stand coming soon from Karen Burniston! You really have to see it in action – the pot folds flat and practically explodes when you open the card!
I used some retired Stampin Up paper to create this pot. The butterflies are on wires and everything fits nicely inside the card. What a wonderful way to surprise a friend! Go to Karen’s blog or Facebook page to see what else is coming soon. Hugs, Fran
Midnight the Bat
Karen Burniston has a new Pop It Ups release Coming Soon and it includes some very cute Halloween dies! This is Midnight the bat and the new Bat Stencil – LOVE! To make this card, I used the stencil with embossing paste and Stampin Up’s black ink refill to color it. I stenciled on some retired Stampin Up Halloween patterned paper. The moon is a punch with some Smoky Slate ink sponged across it. Midnight the Bat is done in Basic Gray card stock with a red glitter bow tie. And the stamp is die cut with Karen’s new Labels and Circles dies.
The best part of this card? Midnight the Bat is on an action wobbler! He’s so cute wobbling on the front! There are a lot of fun dies in this release! Pop over to Karen’s blog or Facebook page to see what else is coming! Hugs, Fran
Weather Together
Weather Together is a wonderful set with a matching die. This sympathy/encouragement card uses the die – and seriously, the paper is So Saffron! My camera just doesn’t care – it wants it to look brighter! The rain drops have Dazzling Details on them. Hugs, Fran
Time of Year
One more Christmas card – this one using the hostess set Time of Year and This Christmas Designer paper. The Bunch of Banners die cuts out all the cute banner pieces in this set! Hugs, Fran
