Valentine Treat Boxes

These little treat boxes hold Tootsie Roll Lollipops and are super quick and easy to make.  They really are wraps for the candy.

To make the wrappers cut a piece of Real Red to 2 1/4 x 7 1/2.  Score the 7 1/2 side at 2 1/2, 4 and 6 1/2.  Attach a 2 x 2 1/4 piece of the Sending Love DSP to the end of the Real Red paper and adhere the flap end over to close the wrapper.  Use a hole punch to add a hold for the sucker and then add a 2 x 3/4 stamped piece (or you could use more patterned paper) to the flap.  Insert you sucker and tie the top with a Real Red Sending Love ribbon bow.  Add a heart from the Love Notes Framelit die and embellish with a rhinestone.  I added a bit of glue under the rhinestone just to make sure it stays put.  Hugs, Fran

Sealed with Love

This is a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card full of LOVE.  Using the Largest Letters Framelits, I cut them out of the Real Red strip and then replaced them with white letters stamped with the line of hearts from Sealed with Love.  The “In the Air” is embossed with white embossing powder.  The heart border is made using the Love Notes Framelit dies.  I cut a sliver of silver Glimmer paper to run through the middle of the hearts.  Hugs, Fran

Valentine Sampler

Live, Laugh, Love – it’s almost Valentine Day!  This sampler uses all kinds of hearts and stamps to create a keepsake for someone special of for YOU!  Each square is the largest stitched frame die.  I’ll try to list all the products I used below.  Hugs, Fran

Sealed with Love

Valentines!  Yes, it’s time to start thinking about them.  Using the new Sealed with Love, I created a special Valentine.  On the front I used the new Sending Love Designer Series paper, Sealed with Love stamp set and the Sweet & Sassy heart dies.  The heart behind the sentiment is cut from Glimmer paper.

Inside I made a heart pop up!  Following Karen Burniston’s directions for a Twist Circle Panel Card, I changed the panel to hearts.  All you need is 4 hearts that are approximately 3 inches tall.  I adhered them together so they measure 9″ long and scored at the same measurements in the video.  The “i love” was die cut from Sunshine Wishes and the “you” is from Hello You thinlits.  The glimmer hearts are from my stash.  I hope you’ll try it!  Hugs, Fran

Balloon Adventures

Balloon Adventures is a fun set with a matching die that makes a pop up card!  I started with a shaker front using the Party Animal Designer Series paper and the pop up insert as a flat piece.  (I probably should have shown this card inside to front!)

This is the inside.  So now you can see that the piece can be used on the front or inside.  Bright, happy colors !  Hugs, Fran

Love You

Valentines Day?  Yep!   This card is made with the new Hexagon Dynamic Textured embossing folder and the “love” from Sunshine Wishes framelits.  The heart was was cut from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits in Glimmer paper.  I sponged on ink – Real Red, Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette onto water color paper and then embossed it.  The love was cut from Black card stock and then fun foam, layered together and covered in Glossy Accents.  Very simple.  Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – Hats Off!

Merry Day After Christmas!  Today we are doing a Hats Off Challenge – interpret as you might 🙂  I chose some fun characters to watch the clock for the New Year.

I used Clock and Gears for the focal point of my card and made it a shaker!  It’s popped on foam tape and a window sheet and filled with fun sequins, large gold foil pieces and glitter.

Jolly the Mouse, Honey the Bear and Baker the Beaver are decked out with champagne and fancy hats to wait for midnight.

And when the clock strikes 12………

I used the wonderful Anita Frames Pop UP  and a Stamping UP Balloon punch to get the party started.

Everything is die cut from Gold foil and Black and Silver Glimmer paper.  My kind of party!  Make sure to check out the other Hats Off cards on Karen’s Facebook page or her blog!  Happy New Year!  Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – All I Want For Christmas

This is challenge is to use the die that you would most like to see under the tree (if you didn’t already have it!)  I have to say that my current favorite Pop It Ups die is the Twist Circle!  Now before I show you the card I need to say that not only do we celebrate Christmas during December – we also have 5 birthdays!  That’s right – 5!  So with that in mind………

Happy Birthday!  This card is 4 1/2 x 8 1/2, featuring SU’s Birthday Fiesta stamp  and coordinating paper.  The balloon is coated with Glossy Accents and the llama and balloon are popped up with fun foam.

The llama is holding the hand drawn balloon string in his mouth (almost looks like a mustache!)

But the magic happens when you open the card!

The center balloon flies up into place creating a happy scene!  It’s a wonderful die!  Check out what the other designers are doing on Karen’s Facebook page or her blog!  Happy times!  Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge – Charmed, I’m Sure!

This challenge is all about charms – Karen Burniston’s Hanging Charms!  There are lots of charms available and I chose the Holiday Charms for this card.  But I didn’t hang them…..

I used Buster the Dog and the Holiday Charms to create a Christmas card.  The snowflake is hanging from a die cut circle and the package and tree charm decorate the background.  The house is fussy cut from Stampin Up’s Candy Cane Lane Designer Series paper.
