Comfort Cafe Cute

Comfort Cafe is a Designer Series paper that I didn’t fall in love with until late in the catalog year.  The soft colors (Cajun Craze, Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla) are so pretty.  For this card, I cased a card that Karen Burniston did – just used my Stampin’ Up supplies.  The heart on the front is from the Hearts a Flutter framelits.

I used the Ornate Frame insert in my Stampin Up Pop N Cuts base.  The die cut “Scribble” is retired – sorry!  (I forgot!)

The heart is suspended on fishing line and the floating floor is a template that Karen has on her blog.  Don’t you love Cajun Craze and Soft Suede?

Supplies
Stamp Set – Curly Cute
card stock – Comfort Cafe DSP, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Ink – Cajun Craze, Soft Suede
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, Ornate frame insert, Hearts a Flutter Framlits, Scribbles Sizzlit, linen thread, Soft Suede taffeta ribbon, fishing line

It just goes to show that we need to use what we have!  You never know what you will find.  Hugs, Fran

Pop N Cut Teacher

A friend of mine needed a birthday card for her son’s pre-school teacher.  It needed to have space for all the children to sign it.   This is what I came up with for her.

The banner was added simply to pick up some color from the Story Time Designer Series paper.  Even the chalkboard is from the paper pack – with a little bit of White Craft ink around the edge.

There are only 8 children in this class – hope it’s enough space for them to sign!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Cross My Heart, Family Reunion, Itty Bitties
card stock – Riding Hood Red, WIld Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Story Time Designer Series Paper, Crumb Cake, Basic Black
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Whisper White Craft ink
Etc – Pop N Cuts Dress Form insert and base, Dress Up Framelits, small heart punch, Bird punch, 1 3/4 circle punch Circle #2 die, Cute Clips, Baker’s Twine, sponge dauber

Not real involved – but cute and fits the purpose.  Hugs, Fran

Dress Up Banner

Here’s my display of some of the outfits I’ve used on my Pop N Cuts Cards – isn’t it fun?  At the moment it’s in my office but I think it will hang in the classroom.  I got so involved in putting it together that I didn’t take into account how long it would end up being – so I think I’ll do a shorter one for my office.  Too much fun!  Hugs, Fran

Cinderella

For this card I made a belly band and stamped the front with Feels Good from the Spring Mini,  There was another sentiment that would work for this card – “She believed she could..so she did.”  Because when you open it you see this –

It’s Cinderella in all her glory!

The magic “swirl” around her dress is – you guessed it – fishing line covered in Dazzling Details and little tiny glitter stars.

The birds and banner are from Decorate a Daisy (purchased just for this card!) and the “Just for You” sentiment was done in My Digital Studio 2.

I drew the slippers on vellum card stock and covered them with Dazzling Details.  Glass slippers are very difficult to papercraft!

The mirror really only shows from the side – but the girl has to take a look at her new gown!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Feel Goods, Decorate a Daisy, Stacks of Wishes
card stock – Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Silver Glimmer paper, Vellum Card stock
Ink – Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Jet Black Stazon
Etc -Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert,  Labels Framelits, Itty Bitty paper pack, Build a Blossom punch, Scallop Trim punch, Oval Framelits, Dazzling Details, Dazzling Diamonds, Full Heart punch

As it’s sitting in front of me I’m wanting to put Dazzling Details in all the flower centers.  This is what happens when I have bling in my hands!  Hugs, Fran

Spring Style

This is one of the cards for my Pop N Cuts class In March – featuring the exclusive Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert.  I am loving Summer Starfruit!  This little gal has a Paper Doily tucked under her dress for a little pop.

Etc – Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Oval Framelits, Jewelry punch, Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert, Scallop edge punch, Paper Doily, Summer Starfruit ribbon

I’m also doing a Dress Frame class March 14th –

Come play with me!  Hugs, Fran

Pop N Up to Garden

I wanted to try making an invisible shelf for my Dress Form Pop N Cuts using a window sheet.  It’s a really cool look – or not look as the case may be!  Once I die cut the insert, I trimmed it down, leaving just enough to make the Pop Up work.

Her overalls were made by cutting the scallop off the bottom of the dress and snipping a small triangle in the center bottom.  You can only snip a small amount or you’ll have the form showing.  Then I added some stitching with my Stampin Write Marker, and few squares for pockets – and teeny tiny piece of Delicate Lace Tape in the pocket.  The straps on the overalls are drawn and mini brads were used to look like snaps. The tree is a very old Sizzix die.  The shovel is an oval punch.

The basket is from A Little Bit of Spring in the Spring Mini catalog.

Supplies
Stamp Sets- Just Thinking, A Little Bit of Spring
card stock – Old Olive, Real Red, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Brushed Silver, Pumpkin Pie, Bright Patterns DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Crumb Cake
Etc – Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert dies. Bird Punch, small oval punch, Itty Bitty Punch pack, Cloudy Day embossing folder, Scallop Edge punch, Window sheet, 1/4″ circle punch, linen thread, Delicate Lace tape, mini brads

Are you tired of these cards yet?   Hugs, Fran

Blue Ribbon Dapper Dad

It’s a wild combo – Blue Ribbon, Dapper Dad, Best Dad Ever and the exclusive Stampin Up Pop N Cuts Base and Dress form insert!  On the front I used Dapper Dad.  The watch has a soda pop top that was smashed in my Big Shot and filled with the stamped dial and Crystal Effects.

Doesn’t look like the dress form insert, does it?  I made a layered piece with Blue Ribbon and the Simple Numbers Bigz die.  To make the banner piece on the ribbon, I stamped off with Beyond Plaid and then stamped the ribbon on top of it.

Stamp and layer your image and attach it to the form!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Blue Ribbon, Dapper Dad, Best Dad Ever, Beyond Plaid
Card stock – Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip DSP (retired)
Ink – Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke
Etc – Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert, Simple Numbers Bigs die, Oval Framelits, soda pop top, Crystal Effects, 2 3/8 Scallop punch, 1 3/8 circle punch

A special card for a special man!  Hugs, Fran

Tuxedo Pop N Cut

My Pop N Cuts are hitting the town tonight!  Maybe it’s a black-tie charity event, a special anniversary or even prom – but it’s somewhere fancy!

Both dress forms fit across the shelf for the single dress form (did that make sense?)  I just left the middle leg on there so provide support.  It’s covered by the handsome couple.  You can find Mr. Pop N Cuts tuxedo here. Karen Burniston – who created this die – created this tuxedo pattern just for the dress form.

Supplies
Stamp Set – That’s the Ticket
card stock – Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Neutral Patterns, Silver Glimmer paper
Stampin Write Markers – Basic Black, Real Red
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base and Dress Form insert, Itty Bitty punch pack, Delicate Doilies Lace tape, Full Heart punch, Basic rhinestones, Basic pearls, black Sharpie Marker

Hugs, Fran

Whale-abrate

Very “punny!”  Here’s a card using the Oh Whale stamp set from the Spring Mini and the matching Sizzlit.  I used the exclusive Stampin Up Pop N Cuts base – imagine that!  Look closely at the bottom left side of the card.  That’s what happens when you’re not careful measuring the inside elements

Here’s the inside of the invitation.  I do not have a two year old boy – this card had a mind of it’s own.  The waves are created by using the negative space from the scallop on the Tasteful Trim die.  The insert is the Pop N Cuts Party Phrase and matching Sizzlit die.

“Look who’s turning” (and “whale-abrate” on the front) was done in MDS2 – handy for making your own sentiments.  Even when they’re not so great!

“You’re Invited” is from the Make a Wish stamp set in the Spring Mini.

Stamp Sets – Oh Whale, Make a Wish
Card Stock – Whisper White, Pacific Point, Real Red, Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP
Ink – Basic Gray, Pacific Point
Etc – Big Shot dies – Tasteful Trim, Happy Whale Sizzlit, SU Card base, Bigz Simple Numbers, Party Phrase insert and die.  Owl Punch, 1″ and 1/2 circle punches, My Digital Studio 2, fishing line

Have a great day!  Hugs, Fran

Buzzin By

A Birthday card using the Pop N Cuts base and Spring Sampler stamp set – and glitter!  I embossed the front with Hexagon embossing folder from the Spring Mini.  (hint – put it as low as it will go/no tabs)

I stamped the bees in Jet Black Stazon, colored them with a Daffodil Delight Stampin Write Marker and added Dazzlin Details to the wings and the centers of the flowers.

I used the 3D Flower insert on the inside (and the flower part on the front!)

The bees are on fishing line that I pulled through glue and dipped in Dazzling Diamonds.  They fly around when opened.

I used a retired flower brad to accent the sentiment block.  I didn’t have the right color so I smooshed them into a Versamark pad and them heat embossed them white embossing powder.  After they cooled, I colored the centers with a Sharpie marker.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Spring Sample
card stock – Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Summer Smooches DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Versamark
Stampin Write marker – Daffodil Delight
Etc – Pop N Cuts Base, 3D Flower insert, fishing line, Dazzlin Details/Diamonds, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Hexagon embossing folder, Scalloped Circle die, My Digital Studio
