More Coffee, Please

More coffee cards using the Karen Burniston Coffee die and lots of cup coffee cup images!  These cards were inspired by Kelly Booth who sent me a darling card with coffee cups framed in a rectangle.  I changed mine up a bit – but the basic idea is hers!

I used the KB Crosshatch rectangle to make my rectangle and stacked them 4 high to add some depth.  The Coffee Cups are an assortment from Prickly Pear and Hero Arts.  I was coloring with my Copics one night and then decided to make them into cards!  The sentiment is Stampin UP.

It’s a very merry cup of coffee!

Again, this die can also hold a gift card so I need to head to my local coffee shop and grab a few!

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Paper Pros November Challenge – Christmas and Holiday Cards

Are you getting ready for Christmas?  The Paper Pros team is and we have some ideas for you!  I made this cute 5 x 5 card using the Karen Burniston Christmas Animals die and a discontinued paper from Stampin Up that has a wonderful copper shine to it!  My Rudolf has a bright gem stone nose and a wreath (which is included in the die set.)

Inside is the KB Coffee Pop Up die decorated with a snowflake and another Rudolf!  I used copper foil paper to accent the coffee cup.

This is a great die for the holidays (or anytime!) because it holds a gift card.  Such a nice way to wish someone a Happy Holidays!  Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Designer November Challenge – Christmas Tree

Oh Christmas Tree!  Today the KB Design Team is charing cards made with the Karen Burniston Christmas Tree die!  I started with a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card.  I used one of the negative space trees and embossed it with the Stampin Up Tin embossing folder.  The sentiment is the KB Merry Christmas die.

Inside is the tree being decorated by the little mice in the Karen Burniston Christmas Animals die set.

I die cut 4 mice so I could sandwich them at the end of the trees.

That way you see them no matter which way the card is turned.

Then I decided to make a more elegant tree card.  This uses the Merry Christmas word die in Copper foil to match the foil in the Stampin Up Designer Series paper.

Inside I made a copper and white tree decorated with copper trim and sequins.

The ends and tree skirt are also copper.

Such a wonderful die!  Hope you’ve enjoyed these cards.  Don’t forget to check out the Karen Burniston blog on Wednesday where you can see all the designer Christmas tree cards!  Hugs, Fran

Snow is Glistening

This set is Snow is Glistening and it’s a one month only promotion from Stampin Up.  The tree is my favorite!  This set also have a 20 piece die set full of beautiful snowflakes – a must have!  I created a card and tag to show you today.

I actually created the tag first.  Using the tag die from Karen Burniston’s Tag Book die set, I heat embossed the tree in white embossing powder and went over it with Crumb Cake ink and a sponge dauber.  Then I stamped the snowflakes in Crumb Cake.  The bottom piece is a retired edge die – and edge die or plain piece would work – and adhered it to the bottom.  The little tree trunk is stamped in Early Espresso.  The finishing touch are the Frosted Epoxy Droplets.

For the card, I embossed the background with the Petals embossing folder and created the front the same way as the tag – simply switching the Crumb Cake snowflakes for some heat embossed ones and adding a JOY sentiment.  I just love this set!
