After Christmas Pick Me Up

Let the clean up begin!  Or not.  This little card is for a friend that happens to be in town for the holidays.  The front is a dead Christmas tree and lots of wrapping on the floor   The tree is an Elizabeth Craft die, the card base is the SU Pop N Cuts base and the packages are a 1″ punch.

To do the tissue paper, I punched some 1″ squares and wadded the paper up – and glued it down.  See the poor star nestled in the mess?

When the card is opened out pops Karen Burniston’s Mug & Heart insert (which fits beautifully inside the SU Pop N Cuts base.)  I also used her Gift Card holder  and Banner & Borders framelits.  Use your imagination to see the Starbucks gift card inside the holder!

The steam in the cup and the hearts on the front are Movers and Shapers dies and the center of the hearts is a Neutral Candy Dot.

I only adhered the tag at the bottom so that the gift card is removal without tearing up the tag.  I printed all the sentiments in MDS2.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Woodgrain background
Card stock – Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Season of Style DSP
Dies – exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base, Mug & Hearts insert, Banners & Borders framelit, Gift Card Holder framelit, Hearts Mover and Shapers, Elizabeth Craft Design 5 part Christmas Tree framelit
Etc – Neutral Candy dots, 1″ square punch, tissue paper, Itty Bitty ornament punch and small star, gold gel pen

So now I have to go to Starbucks to get that gift card – ha!  This is a two-way gift!  Hugs, Fran

I absolutely love, LOVE Karen Burinston’s pop and cut dies and this one is so fabulous!!!!! I enjoy tremendously putting up my Christmas Tree, decorating my house both inside and out but, when the Holidays are over, I simply dislike to take everything down. We usually wait till after the Epiphany because in Mexico this was also a celebration and the kids get another small gift. Then, it’s time to put all of the pretty decorations away again. Thank you for this super sweet and beautiful card. Have a Joyful and Healthy 2014!!!!!

  8. Thanks Maria – Happy New Year to you and your family!
