Sandy Allnock did a video using trees and watercolors and I wanted to play along. The only tree I had at hand was the Sheltering Tree stamp so I went with it. Using markers and watercolor paper, I stamped the tree and then added the leaves with re-inkers and an aqua painter. The idea was to create a shadowed area underneath the leaves. Think I might need to try again But it was fun and great way to stretch my watercoloring abilities. Hugs, Fran

Oh So Eclectic
Another bright card! I almost need to issue a “sunglasses alert!! This is Oh So Eclectic in Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry. To do the background I wet the water color paper in the area for each color, added the color and dried it before moving on to the next color. Once everything looked ok to me, I stamped over the top of the colors with the flower in the coordinating ink. The card base is Tangerine Tango on Tangerine Tango. Then I added some white gel pen (because I can’t help myself!) and a sentiment embossed in white embossing powder on black card stock. Hugs, Fran
Artsy Swirls
Fun, messy times in the craft room! I used a piece of watercolor paper for this Swirly Bird card and stamped it in Peek a boo Peach, Blushing Bride, Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum. Then I watercolored all over the piece to soften and blend the colors. Splatter the colors over the finish piece and once it dries (important – let it dry!) I stamped the sentiment in Stazon and some more swirls in Stazon and Tangerine Tango. I also added some die cut swirls. To finish it off, I added the washi tape (told you I was using it!) to the side.
And sequins – always add sequins! Hugs, Fran
Daffodil Delight Thoughts
This idea was shown on stage this spring – water coloring on Shimmery White card stock. I stamped the paper using Best Thoughts (hostess set) and used and aqua painter and ink pads to color it in Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. The base is a notecard – such a sweet size – and it’s finished with a tiny strip of Black and White paper and a piece of Baker’s Twine. You could put together lots of these in different colors and have fun doing them at the same time Hugs, Fran
Best Thoughts
Another beautiful hostess set coming your way – Best Thoughts! LOVE the font! I stamped this in Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush on watercolor paper and then used my aqua painter (and a little bit more ink) to do a fast wash of color. I added lots of splatters, rhinestones and some sequins too. The background in Hardwood. A little piece of paper doily and some new, soft, yummy ribbon and it’s ready to send. This will be another favorite set of mine Hugs, Fran
