Sweet Bookworm

Rectangular Pull Card 03

Here’s another practice piece made into a Pop It Ups Rectangular Pull card.  It was a long, snowy winter and I did lots of these – hope you don’t get bored!  The image in Saturated Canary’s Reader colored with Copic markers.  I used Real Red card stock and Marina Mist Designer Series paper and ribbon for the card.

Inside is the Pop It Ups piece that comes with the Rectangular Pull Card die.  The sentiment is from Four You in Real Red.  This has become one of my favorite dies because so many things fit on it!  Hugs, Fran

Beautiful Sympathy

Rectangular Accordion 05 front

This is a Pop It Ups Rectangular Accordion card using some Elizabeth Craft Design Flower Quartet peel off stickers, Silk microfine glitter and Copics to color it.  The Designer Series paper is from the SU Spring Mini – Painted Blooms – and it’s all tied off with some Hello Honey ribbon.  The paper is so gorgeous it’s hard to decide which piece to use!

I used the sentiment in Love & Sympathy for the inside.  It’s stamped in Wild Wasabi.  Els has a great video on YouTube on how to use the stickers with glitter and Copics.  They really make a card sparkle!  Hugs, Fran

For the Birds

For the Birds 01

This simple card was made using the Stylish Stripes embossing folder on each end of the card stock so that there is an empty spot to decorate in the middle.  It was inspired by one on Pinterest done by Kerry Bunting.  She used a different EF and stamp set – but the idea is the same.  For the Birds would make a cute set of cards using this technique.

I masked off the words, stamped the image and then stamped the words to the side and colored the image with Blendabilities.  Hugs, Fran

Birthday Pull Card

Rectangular Pull Card 09

It’s been snowing here – really, really snowing.  17 inches of snow!  So I’ve been coloring 🙂  This is Saturated Canary’s Ellie’s Birthday on a Pop It Ups Rectangular Pull Card using Remembering Your Birthday as the sentiment on Best Year Ever Designer Series paper – colored with Copic markers!  Did I mention we had a big snow?

When you open it up, balloons from Pop It Ups Props 2 and packages from the Evergreen Pivot card decorate the inside.

And the sentiment says it all!  I’ve pulled everything I own out while doing this card! (Did I mention it snowed?) Hugs, Fran

Loving You

Oval Accordion 03

This Pop It Ups Oval Accordion card uses Saturated Canary’s Secrets digital stamp.  I sized it to fit my card and then cut the image apart so I could use part on the front and part on the back.  I used the Lattice die on the front – first in Pink Pirouette (which was too dark) and then in Whisper White – leaving just a bit of the underneath showing.

The sentiment in the middle is one of my absolute favorites from the Spring Catalog called Build a Bouquet.  I’m using it all over the place!  I replace the drawn line on the image with Baker’s Twine and added some hearts. The flower paper is unknown – very old from my stash, and the pink is from the Subtles Paper Pack. I colored the images with my Copic Markers.

Four Corners

Corner Garden 01

You’ve seen this one before but yesterday was class 7 in my Blendies classes and this was the sample.. Wow, these ladies have gotten very good with their Blendies!  I thought I’d show you 4 more variations on this card.

This rose is Calypso Coral.

Park Lane Rectangular Pull Card

Rectangular Pull Card 08

Still snowed in so I’m playing with my Copic Markers.  This image is Saturated Canary’s Willow. I used the Park Lane Designer Series paper and Karen Burniston’s Pop It Ups Rectangular Pull Card and Paris Edges dies to create the card.  The wonderful thing about using this die is that these images fit perfectly on the front.  So my practice pieces don’t just sit in a pile – they become cards.

On the inside I used a sentiment from Bloom with Hope.  There are some very beautiful sayings in this set – but this one is my favorite.  Hugs, Fran

Berry Basket

Butterfly Basics 06

This is a new die in the Mini Catalog called Berry Basket.  It’s a Bigz die and makes a lovely basket that is a nice size for all kinds of things.  To do this basket I adhered a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Whisper White and Best Year Ever Designer Series paper together and run it through the Big Shot Whisper White side down.  You need to do this twice so you have 2 pieces.  Assembly is simple and the basket is very sturdy when assembled.  I added half a Doily, a Coastal Cabana butterfly from the Butterfly Framelits and a Calypso Coral stamped from the Butterfly Basics set and die cut.  The center is a Calypso Coral pom-pom.  I assembled my basket using the hand-held stapler.

Still snowed in with more snow coming tomorrow.  Going. Stir. Crazy.  Hugs, Fran

Do More of What Makes You Happy

Hello Life 02

Doesn’t this say it all?  This stamp is from Hello, Life and it’s large!  (The card is 6 x 6)  I adhered it to some Flower Pot Designer Series paper with an old flower die cut.  The small flowers stamped around the sentiment are from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set.  It has some wonderful background style stamps in it!  So what makes me happy?

Hello Life 02 open

A bathtub full of flowers!  The stand up part is from Karen Burniston’s Bathtub Pop Stand die, die cut from some white Shimmer Sheet. The flowers filling the tub are from my stash and the leaves are the Build a Bird punch.  The tub faucet is cut from SU Silver Foil paper.  Since it needed to be mirrored, and the paper is white on the back, I used a silver leaf pen to color the back of the paper.

I used a retired embossing folder on the tub and it’s so pretty in real life! My tub runneth over! 🙂  Hugs, Fran
