So after I did party balloons with the Reverse Word set, I decided to do hot air balloons. The balloon is die cut using the Up & Away Thinlits and the background paper is the Salebration paper Carried Away. The Reverse Words is stamped in Mint Macaron. I’m sure you can create a prettier hot air balloon! Hugs, Fran

Straightening Up Reverse Words
Does it feel like Deja vu? This is the same card from yesterday – just straightened up and popped up. This time I fussy cut the balloons (there is a punch for balloons – I just forgot!) and used the die for the ribbons. Then the balloons are popped up with Dimensionals. Now you decide! This one –

Reverse Words Birthday
Starting on the February 21 there are 3 more Saleabration items to pick – Glimmer paper (!) and 2 stamp sets. This is one of the upcoming sets called Reverse Words. The two stamps say “hooray” and “cheers.” I paired it with Balloon Adventures to make this card. The base is Tempting Turquoise and the colors are Tempting Turquoise, Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango. I added some sequins and drew the lines with a marker. Hugs, Fran
Paper Pros – Shake It Up
Today I’m participating in a Paper Pros challenge – Shake it Up! I chose a birthday shaker featuring Rocky the Crab popping out of the ocean to wish you a great day! I used a nestled stitched square for the shaker part and Karen Burniston’s Rocky the Crab, Palm Tree & Pail, and Beach Edges and Agatha Edges (bottom of card) to decorate it. The Happy Birthday is from the Stampin Up SAB set Designer Tees. Perhaps a bit too much shaker bits (again!) but boy does it shake! And that’s the point 🙂 You can find all the shaker madness by clicking the links below. Hugs, Fran

Everyday Hero
This card is made with the Occasions set Everyday Hero and it has some great cartoon images! I made a card with a 1″ opening that shows the sentiment. I’ve made these before with acetate in the opening – but this one is just held together with the superman image.
It’s much easier to tell what’s going on from a side view. The bottom cityscape is popped up and the top is embossed with the star embossing folder. I went over each star and the lights behind superman with my Wink of Stella pen. Very fun! Hugs, Fran
A Little Bit of Love
This 3 x 3 shaker note is perfect to tuck in a package for your Valentine. I started with a 3 x 6 piece of Real Red, scored at 3″ to make a little note card. I already had the negative of a square, cut from another project so I trimmed it down to 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and put a piece of acetate on the back. Using the foam strips, I made a box on the back and filled it with little shaker bits and some heart from the Confetti Hearts punch. After adhering a piece of white card stock to seal it up, I die cut a Red Glimmer Love to the front and a white embossed You from Crazy About You. Hugs, Fran
Valentine Gift Card Holders
Valentine’s Day is almost here and I have a gift card holder to share with you. (Because what says “I love you” more than a Venti White Mocha?) This starts with a 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Real Red scored at 4 1/2, 5 1/2 and 6 1/2. Put some strong adhesive right on the inside of the score lines and die cut, punch or simply cut the top of the sealed area. This makes a space for your gift card. Decorate the inside and out of your holder and wrap with a belly band.
My belly band is 1″ wide and is decorated with Sending Love Designer Series paper. The heart is punched from Red Glimmer paper and the Love is die cut from Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.
I made some 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 envelopes using the envelope punch board to hold these and they fit perfectly! Hugs, Fran
Just Crazy
I needed two birthday card for two animal lovers – a dog lover and a cat lover. So I pulled out my Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs and Crazy Cat stamps and went to town. The first card is the cat card colored with Copic Markers. It’s a 5 x 7 on a Basic Black card base.
The sentiment is embossed on black card stock and popped up. The next is the dog card – similar design on a 5 x 7 Pacific Point card base.
I used the retired Stampin UP set Chalk Talk for the sentiment.
Just something Crazy from me today! Hugs, Fran
Butterfly Birthday
Here we go with a trio of cards simply creaTed because I cut way too many butterflies. I watercolored a piece of watercolor paper with Peekaboo Peach, Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette and then die cut some butterflies using the Butterfly Thinlits. With the leftover piece I used the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches to punch the rest. This gave me a lot of butterflies!
Using Gorgeous Grunge and Suite Sentiments, I created 3 background pieces and placed all the butterflies around the sentiment.
That’s a little strip of Glimmer paper down the left side – hard to see in the photograph! So now there are 3 cards – similar but different. Hugs, Fran
Doing a Double Take
This set is called Double Take and it has large letters! It’s a two step set that makes a bold impact. I paired it with the Urban Underground Specialty paper to make this masculine card. I tucked some black twine behind the words and added some sequins and washi tape – and that’s about it! Hugs, Fran
