Special Reason

A combo of Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight and Cucumber Crush – using Special Reason from the Occasions Mini.  This is my case of the catalog.  A few changes but nothing way different.  I really like this color combo 🙂  Reminds me that summer is coming up if we can ever just have spring!  I hope you’ll try it!  Hugs, Fran

Sitting Here

Here’s my cat, Max, waiting for you to come sit with him and give him some love!  I stamped this scene from Sitting Here on watercolor paper in Stazon ink and watercolored.  The cat, pillows and pot of plants are stamped separately and fussy cut.

I went around each piece with a black marker and then created the scene.  The top of the card is stamped with the leaves from Sheltering Tree (you could pick any greenery you have) and is on a piece of Calypso Coral Patterned paper.  The sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases.  Hugs, Fran

Happy Celebrations

Sometimes we just need a cute, quick card for someone.  This one uses the Celebrations Duo embossing folders.  You get two of them – Celebrate and Happy – and there is a matching stamp set called Happy Celebrations,  I used just the Celebrate folder, which de-bosses the paper and stamped some circles around the image in Pool Party, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry.  Add some enamel dots and Bakers Twine and you’re good to go!  Hugs, Fran

Time to Color

Coloring is all the rage right now and Stampin Up has it covered with the very cute Inside the Lines Designer Series paper.  There are 4 different patterns – but it’s only available for one more day!  We did this one at Card Club, colored it with the new Watercolor pencils, and paired it with a sentiment from Falling For You.

We added some gel pen and some Wink of Stella to create these cards but they could be left blank and sent with some colored pencils to someone who likes to color.  That would be fun!  Hugs, Fran

Avant Garden Blue

Here’s a card using Avant Garden that I combined two different cards I saw on Pinterest to create.  One was a sketch and one was these colors and stamps.  I used Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizazz and Soft Sky for the flowers and Daffodil Delight for the butterfly from Papillon Potpourri.  I used Wink of Stella on the stamping – just because – and did some background interest with Dazzling Details, some clear elements and candy dots.  The sentiment is from Lift Me Up.  Hugs, Fran

Punched Birthday

I was sorting through some old punches and thought I’d try this card.  It’s a 3 x 8 card and you can make an envelope for it using the Envelope Punch Board. The  colors from left to right are Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder, Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise, Cucumber Crush, Pear Pizazz , Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, and Real Red.  I drew a straight line across the card stock and lined them up.  That’s it!  Now to search through the rest of my punches and see which other ones will work with this style card!  Try it!  Hugs, Fran

Something Pretty

Just going through some of the stuff in my craft room and I came across these stickers from Elizabeth Crafts and thought I’d better use them.  I made the card with Karen Burniston’s Spiral Pull card die and used a retired SU stencil for the background.  I added the dots with a white gel pen and white embossed the sentiment – Love & Affection – on to some black card stock.

Here’s the inside…………and another card!

Same idea – just Calypso Coral for the card stock.

You should be warned that I found a lot of these stickers!  You might see some more designs soon!  Hugs, Fran

Get Well Hero

This pretty Get Well Soon card is made with the My Hero stamp set – which benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  The raindrops are these little plastic thingies that go in the bottom of vases 🙂  These are flat on the back and are easy to use.  The paper is Blooms & Bliss DSP and the card is tied off with some Mint Macaron ribbon.  Hugs, Fran

Moon Baby

Here are two cards using Reverse Words (one of the new SAB offerings) and Moon Baby (Occasion Mini.)

I stamped the baby and fussy cut her out.  The Hooray is stamped in Pink Pirouette and die cut with a stitched rectangle, placed on a Pink Pirouette stitched rectangle and then all put on a background embossed with the Large Polka Dots embossing folder.

And here’s the baby boy version done in Marina Mist.  Hint – if you have trouble fussy cutting the umbrella stick – just cut off the top of the umbrella and then reassemble.  Only a few more days to get Reverse Words!  Hugs, Fran
