Coloring Kit

Here’s a really quick idea for a gift for a crafty friend.  Using the new Just Add Color Designer Series paper, I cut the different designs 4 x 5 1/2 and adhered them to different color bases.  Just adhere it flat so the recipient can color the designs.  This paper is nice and heavy!

Add a 4 x 5 1/2 white inside and stamp the sentiment from Work of Art.

Cover the flap of the envelopes with matching DSP, add some colored pencils and tie with a ribbon.  I made a matching tag to go with it.  This all goes in a cello bag and is off to a young friend as a gift!  Hugs, Fran

Coffee Cafe Gift Card Holder

This is one of my favorite styles of gift card holders (and one of my favorite gift cards!)  The front of the holder is simply strips of the Coffee Break Designer Series paper and matching card stock that has been run through the Big Shot using the Oh My Stars embossing folder.

The gift card holder is made by cutting a piece of Crumb Cake card stock 4 1/4 x 10 1/2 and scoring at 4 1/2, 5 1/2,and 6 1/2.  Pinch the fold to the inside and adhere only at the bottom of the fold and use the slot die in the matching die set to cut the opening.

Stamp the sentiment and share with a friend 🙂  Hugs, Fran

Coffee Cafe

This is my sort-of-case of the card on page 30.  There are lots of cute cards on this page featuring the new Coffee Break Suite!  I made my card a full size (A2) card using the Coffee Cafe stamp set with it’s matching dies.  This card has a little pocket on the front to hold a Starbucks card.  Since I didn’t have any Pool Party ribbon, I chose to use burlap and added some Pool Party hearts.

Check out the stopper in the coffee cup!  So cute!  Hugs, Fran

At Home With You

This is At Home With You – a stamp set with matching die.  The door is designed to open so  you can tuck a message inside.  I decided to make my house white siding with a wood door.  The Crumb Cake card stock was stamped with the Hardwood stamp first and then die cut.  The Background for the card was done on the Simply Scoring tool.  The other little pieces were stamped, colored and die cut with their matching dies.

The sentiment is designed to fit inside the door.  You can be as simple or fancy as you want with this set!  Hugs, Fran

Oh So Eclectic

Another bright card!  I almost need to issue a “sunglasses alert!!  This is Oh So Eclectic in Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry.  To do the background I wet the water color paper in the area for each color, added the color and dried it before moving on to the next color.  Once everything looked ok to me, I stamped over the top of the colors with the flower in the coordinating ink.  The card base is Tangerine Tango on Tangerine Tango.  Then I added some white gel pen (because I can’t help myself!) and a sentiment embossed in white embossing powder on black card stock.  Hugs, Fran

Flirty Flowers

Here’s a fun card that bright and cheery!  Using the new set, Flirty Flowers, I stamped the image at different heights across the bottom of the white card stock.  On a few of the images I wiped off some stems before stamping so that it fits better.  The little flowers and leaves were colored with Stampin Write Markers – Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Pear Pizzaz.  The bottom scallop is done with the die from Seasonal Layers (yep, using THAT one a lot!)  I used some scraps of Melon Mambo DSP to edge the white and tied it off with what turned out to be Crushed Curry ribbon.  Close enough 🙂  Hugs, Fran

Dazzled

Using pieces from Pocketful of Sunshine, I created a tag that’s a pocketful of sparkle!  Starting with a rounded tag, I used a stencil to sponge the rays and then misted it with some shimmer spray.  The sunshine is punched with a 1 3/4″ circle punch that I covered with Wink of Stella.  The sun glasses were stamped in black and heat embossed in clear, ice cut with the matching die and covered with Wink of Stella.  I heat embossed the sentiment in black and added some rhinestones and enamel stars.  The scallop at the bottom is done with the scallop die in the Seasonal Layer Thinlits and sandwiched between the tag and a blank tag that was adhered on the back.  It sparkles 🙂

Bike Ride

Thought I’d play around with this new set, Bike Ride, and the matching die!  The background paper is Pick a Pattern and I used the Flirty Flamingo pattern for my colors.  The sentiment is from Beautiful Bouquet – which is full of beautiful sentiments!  The clouds in the background were very gently stenciled using the new Pattern Party Decorative Masks in Soft Sky.  Hugs, Fran

Twist Panel Birthday

Some Birthday fun today!  I used the cute Designer paper Birthday Memories to create this card.  The fun part about this paper is that the characters can be fussy cut from the paper and used as is!  There is also a matching stamp set that has stamps of many of the images.  But the REAL fun here is in inside 🙂

I used Karen Burniston’s new Twist Panel Pop Up to make the card!  Again, the images are fussy cut from the paper and are marching across the panel.

Here’s a closer look at the panel.  Such a fun die – no measuring!! Hooray!  Just die cut, assemble and go!  Perfect to pair with this paper 🙂  Hugs, Fran

At the Market

The Wood Crate Framelit creates these cute little boxes that can be used in a lot of different ways.  I paired it with the Wood Texture Designer paper, stamped a bit and came up with two treat holders.

This one is  the crate with a label.  I used the new Pretty Label punch to punch a piece of Cajun Craze stamped with the floral stamp in the Wood Words stamp set and added the rooster and sentiment on a circle punch.  A bit of linen thread finishes the label.

For this one, I stamped an image from Tuscan Vineyard in Early Espresso on the crate.  It looks like it was wood burned into the paper.  Then I added treats in cello bags and tied them off with ribbon.  Hugs, Fran
