Paper Pro Challenge – Summer Road Trip

The challenge this month is Summer Road Trip and I’m taking a motorcycle 🙂  This set is called One Wild Ride and I used some retired DSP to make a Joy Fold card with a surprise inside.  The image and sentiment are embossed on the DSP and the little sign is popped up to hold the card shut.

On the inside is Karen Burniston’s Snowman Twist Circle pop up die!  It pops up the badge that is also embossed, this time in white.

So I’m hitting the road with my Twist Circle die!  Check out the other Summer Road Trip ideas.  Hugs, Fran

June Paper Pumpkin

This 4 x 4 card was made with the June Paper Pumpkin stamp set.  The watermelons are stamped in Melon Mambo and Emerald Envy.  I took a black glaze pen and filled in all the little seeds.  The scallop on  the side is a die from Colorful Season.  Hugs, Fran

Butterfly Beauty

This butterfly is from the Move Me die set.  It’s beautiful but it’s the background behind it that really sets it off.  The background is the Polished Stone technique on glossy paper done in Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight,  It’s put together as a shaker card and filled with Bermuda Bay sequins.

The sentiment is heat embossed in black from So Many Shells.  There are lots of wonderful sentiments in that set!  Hugs, Fran

Wild About Flowers

Here’s a two takes on a card using Wild About Flowers.  On the left I used 2 shades of green – Pear Pizzaz and Garden Green – on the leaves and on the right I only used Pear Pizzaz. The flowers are Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight.  I chose two different ribbon.

I thought the 2 greens was a bit messy looking – maybe?

So that’s a variation on a theme!  Hugs, Fran

Embossing Paste

Embossing paste is an easy way to add texture and interest to you cards. Using it with stencils you can add all kinds of interesting looks.  For this card I took a stencil, masked off a section and applied embossing paste that was mixed with some re-inker.  After I lifted the stencil, I added some Dazzling Diamonds for some sparkle.  A little piece of glitter paper and a sentiment finished it off.

On this card I did embossing paste over patterned paper.  This is one of my favorite looks.  Remember that when you use embossing paste you need to wash your stencil and palette knife off right away so that the paste doesn’t dry on your tools.  Hugs, Fran

Daisy Delight

This set is a favorite!  Daisy Delight is a beautiful set that is available with a matching punch.  I created a card using one of the small images to make the background, some new Daffodil Delight ribbon and the stamp and punch to make the flower.  The center is one of the gold faceted gem (love!)  Hugs, Fran

Ribbon of Courage

Ribbon of Courage is a wonderful set for cards to cheer those in need of a special word of encouragement.  I used the new embossing paste and decorative mask to make the background.  The ribbon was stamped in Momento ink so I could use my Copics to color the image.  The sentiment is on a banner that I just flagged at the ends.  Hugs, Fran

CAS Flirty Flowers

Berry Burst and Flirty Flowers – that makes an easy card.  I cut an inch away from the front of this card and stamped the flowers on each edge.  After adding a strip of Berry Burst I reassembled the card (turning the bottom flowers so they mirror the top), added a sentiment and some rhinestones – that’s it!  Choose your favorite color and try it!  Hugs, Fran

Those Beautiful Tranquil Tulips

This is my case of the Tranquil Tulips card on page 223 – just in Berry Burst with the Oh My Stars embossing folder in the background.  The leaves are Lemon Lime Twist and are stamped on a Lots of Labels Framelit.

This card also uses Tranquil Tulips in Berry Burst with some Old Olive DSP in the background.  What a beautiful Hostess set!  Makes you want to have a party, doesn’t it?  🙂  Hugs, Fran
