Birthday Charm Accordion

This cute accordion card is a new die by Karen Burniston.  The card base is the Charm Accordion and it’s 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches and the die cuts both pieces of this accordion at the same time.  The squirrel is one of her new Woodland Animals (there’s a squirrel, fox and raccoon!)  The little packages at the bottom are from the Birthday Charms die set.

The squirrel is two pieces – the body and the tummy.  The arms are free so it was east to add a package.  The face is drawn on using the openings in the die.

Here’s the inside.  The sentiment is from SU’s Painter’s Palette.  See the birthday hat?  It’s held onto the smaller piece with a jump ring die 🙂  Cute!

The packages are all from the the Birthday Charms too.  The entire set is darling!  You can find more information about the dies here.  Hugs, Fran

Playful Palette Easel

Painter's Palette 04

This is my take on one of the display cards at On Stage (I think the original card was made by Beth Rush).  I used the new Playful Palette Designer Series paper for the color combination. The center of the easel fits perfectly in one of the new square framelits! Think of all the fun combos you could do with the beautiful new papers!  Hugs, Fran

Some brilliant person made a card like this for the Display boards at On Stage.  This uses Painter’s Palette for the frame and Remarkable You for the flower.  Only the section in the frame gets colored.

Isn’t the little push pin at the top cute?  Spotlighting is a fun technique and I’m glad to see it revisited!  Hugs, Fran

Painter’s Palette is really a fun set and it fits nicely on a notecard.  The notecards are such a great size for quick cards to send to someone in your life.  And they are mailable!  At 3 1/2 x 5, with envelopes included, notecards make it easy to whip up a card and get it mailed.  This card just uses the stamp set, some Designer Series paper and a few sequins.  Wonderful!  Hugs, Fran

This is a case of the Painter’s Palette card on page 119 on the new catalog.  I used Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach inks with Playful Palette Designer Series paper.   Isn’t the vellum strip so pretty behind the easel?  I love how it softens the Sweet Sugarplum DSP.  This is a design I will use over and over!  Hugs, Fran
