Balloon Adventures is a fun set with a matching die that makes a pop up card! I started with a shaker front using the Party Animal Designer Series paper and the pop up insert as a flat piece. (I probably should have shown this card inside to front!)
This is the inside. So now you can see that the piece can be used on the front or inside. Bright, happy colors ! Hugs, Fran
Who doesn’t love a sweet monster with a birthday wish? This Yummy in my Tummy set is from the Occasions Mini and I’ve paired him with the Cool Treats set and Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series paper. Plus he’s on an action wobbler!
His popsicle is covered with Glossy Accents so it shines and he is colored with Copic Markers. Hope you enjoy! Hugs, Fran
The Occasions catalog and Sale a bration start tomorrow and I think this set – Beautiful You – will be a winner! These are some of my first samples. The larger “squiggle” image fits on her dress! Simple stamping at it’s best!
Or some paper piecing for her dress in a monochromatic color scheme. The polka dot paper is from Pop of Pink – so I added a pink belt to her outfit. Easy! Hugs, Fran
This is challenge is to use the die that you would most like to see under the tree (if you didn’t already have it!) I have to say that my current favorite Pop It Ups die is the Twist Circle! Now before I show you the card I need to say that not only do we celebrate Christmas during December – we also have 5 birthdays! That’s right – 5! So with that in mind………
Happy Birthday! This card is 4 1/2 x 8 1/2, featuring SU’s Birthday Fiesta stamp and coordinating paper. The balloon is coated with Glossy Accents and the llama and balloon are popped up with fun foam.
The llama is holding the hand drawn balloon string in his mouth (almost looks like a mustache!)
But the magic happens when you open the card!
The center balloon flies up into place creating a happy scene! It’s a wonderful die! Check out what the other designers are doing on Karen’s Facebook page or her blog! Happy times! Hugs, Fran
Time for another Karen Burniston Team Challenge – ROYGBIV! The colors of the rainbow only monochromatic. I chose the color Pink 🙂
I started with a retired Stampin Up sentiment from Remembering Your Birthday and used Karen’s Labels and Circles die for the front. Lots of pink and a little bling finish it off.
The inside is a Pop It Ups Twist Circle Panel card with lots of cake and presents. The cake is from Stampin Up’s Endless Birthday Wishes. And more bling – of course. The video on how to make this card can be found here.
To see the rest of the rainbow, hop over to Karen’s Facebook page! Hugs, Fran
Today the Crazies are Celebrating! This is Raquel’s son’s birthday so the theme is celebrating those special people in our lives. I chose Karen Burniston’s Baker the Beaver to star on my card. This card is 4 x 8 1/2 so it can hold Baker’s enormous cake! (Looks like he needs some help!) Baker and the cake are on an action wobble.
I used several Stampin UP sets on this card – Build a Birthday, Birthday Fiesta and Birthday Banners! Enjoy all the celebrating going on with the Crazies! Hugs, Fran
This month’s challenge is stencils! I used Karen Burniston’s new Stage It Stencil – Cherries Layering. This fun stencil has the cherries on one end and the stems on the other. Put them together and this is what you get! This card is 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 and the cherries are stenciled with pearlescent embossing paste colored with Real Red ink. Can you see the shine?
The stems are done in Garden Green ink. It makes such a pretty background. Baker the Beaver is celebrating with cherry cupcakes while on an action wobble! The cupcake is part of Baker’s die and the cherry is from Stampin Up’s Cupcake builder punch. (retiring)
Make sure to check Karen’s blog to see all the wonderful ideas using stencils! Hugs, Fran
In honor of Shannon West’s (from Stampin Up) campaign – I’m Bring Birthday’s back – this month’s Creative Circle Blog Hop is a darling, perpetual calendar!
The box has two cubes that can be rotated for the days of the month (remember that the 6 is also the 9), a flip top for the months, and a space int he back to hold your birthday cards so you can actually mail them out! (I am the worse!)
I used the Whisper White Heavy card stock and the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Pack to make mine. This paper stack has 48 sheets of double sided paper in it! My balloons on the front are from Balloon Celebration and are punched out with the matching Balloon Bouquet Punch.
This card uses the bow from the Cutie Pie Thinlit, more It’s My Party paper and the Elegant Dot embossing folder.
This card uses the Picture Perfect stamp set and Blushing Bride.
And last, but not least, this card uses the Bokeh technique. You can find it on Splitcoast here.
You can get the pattern here:

Whoa! It’s bright! I was just messing around with the Sunburst Thinlit Die and thought I’d see what it looks like embossed. So here it is – in all it’s bright glory! I die cut the sunburst first and then ran it through the Big Shot with Tiny Triangles embossing folder. The stamp set is Sunburst Sayings and the paper is from It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Pack. Hugs, Fran
