Kiss the Cook

Riley the Moose is cookin’!  My youngest is a chef and I thought this would be a cute card for her.  The star is Riley the Moose and Karen Burniston’s Square Spinner die.

So you can tell Riley has really been cooking up a storm!  The hamburger and hotdog are punch art and the bottle is from Stampin’ Up’s Bubble Over.  They slide out as the card is opened.

I think she’ll enjoy this!  Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston Design Team January Challenge – Birthday Banners

Birthday Banners is the Karen Burniston Design Challenge for this month!  I used the Tag Book die and it comes with the banner piece – so that was easy! The flowers are die cut using the Karen Burniston Flowers and Bee die in Real Red, Sweet Sugarplum, Berry Burst and white with some glitter embellishments in the centers.  The bee was cut out of Daffodil Delight and Vellum card stock and paper pieced together.    I cut the Tag Book in Berry Burst and added some Tutti-frutti Designer Series paper that will be in the new Occasions paper along with the stamp, Picture Perfect Birthday and the Glimmer paper.

I repeated the flowers and leaves on the inside of the Tag Book die.The DSP on the inside is from Eastern Palace Specialty paper in Lemon Lime Twist.

A little bit of sparkle trailing along the inside.

And more banners and bees.  Check out how the banner pieces have the little design in the die!  The Celebrate is from Tabs for Everything.  Hugs, Fran

You can see more cards from the entire team here! Karen will publish on Wednesday.

Birthday Charm Accordion

This cute accordion card is a new die by Karen Burniston.  The card base is the Charm Accordion and it’s 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches and the die cuts both pieces of this accordion at the same time.  The squirrel is one of her new Woodland Animals (there’s a squirrel, fox and raccoon!)  The little packages at the bottom are from the Birthday Charms die set.

The squirrel is two pieces – the body and the tummy.  The arms are free so it was east to add a package.  The face is drawn on using the openings in the die.

Here’s the inside.  The sentiment is from SU’s Painter’s Palette.  See the birthday hat?  It’s held onto the smaller piece with a jump ring die 🙂  Cute!

The packages are all from the the Birthday Charms too.  The entire set is darling!  You can find more information about the dies here.  Hugs, Fran

Happy Celebrations

Sometimes we just need a cute, quick card for someone.  This one uses the Celebrations Duo embossing folders.  You get two of them – Celebrate and Happy – and there is a matching stamp set called Happy Celebrations,  I used just the Celebrate folder, which de-bosses the paper and stamped some circles around the image in Pool Party, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry.  Add some enamel dots and Bakers Twine and you’re good to go!  Hugs, Fran

Punched Birthday

I was sorting through some old punches and thought I’d try this card.  It’s a 3 x 8 card and you can make an envelope for it using the Envelope Punch Board. The  colors from left to right are Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder, Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise, Cucumber Crush, Pear Pizazz , Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, and Real Red.  I drew a straight line across the card stock and lined them up.  That’s it!  Now to search through the rest of my punches and see which other ones will work with this style card!  Try it!  Hugs, Fran

Circle of Spring

Pay no attention to the color cast on this photo.  I changed my battery on my camera and ……well, I’m not sure!  But her’s a trio-fold card using the Hardwood background and Circle of Spring stamp sets.

The wreath is on the left panel and as you open it ……

You have a pretty inside to write your greeting.  Hugs, Fran
