This month’s Creative Circle Challenge is You’ve Got Mail – a darling mailbox perfect for Valentine’s Day.  Here’s my first mailbox!

Creative Circle January 2016 03

My card holding mailbox is made from Melon Mambo card stock and the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack.  The lid and flap are done with stencil paste and the Hearts and Stars Decorative Mask.

No Bones About It 06

My cards that fit inside the mailbox are made with No Bones About It.  The mailbox easily holds (3) 3 x 3 cards and (3) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cards.

No Bones About It 05

These cards were inspired by an “x-ray” card I saw on Splitcoast by Janet Holmes.  I thought the idea was so cute!

No Bones About It 01

The little 3 x 3’s fit through the opening under the flap.

Then I switched gears and made a mailbox without the card dividers inside and a window sheet over the opening to hold candy.

Creative Circle Jan 2016 01

For this one, I used Sweet Lil’ Things Designer Series paper and the sentiment from the Occasions Mini set – Greatest Greetings.  I punched hearts from every punch I could dig up in my craft room!  They are glittered with Dazzling Details.

So now you can choose – cards or treats – or mix it up a bit and do both!

Haunted Barn

Haunted Barn 01 front

Are you ready to decorate for Halloween?  How about a haunted barn with decked out characters?  This barn is from SVGCuts.com and is called – Haunted Barn!  I used some retired Stampin Up Halloween Designer Series paper and LOTS of black card stock to create this cute 3-D.

Haunted Barn left 01

There are some really cute details – the corn stalks, lanterns and bats, to name a few.

Haunted Barn 01 Cheepers

And a Haunted Barn needs haunted barnyard animals!  I used Karen Burniston’s Pop It Ups characters to create my scene.  First is Cheepers the Chicken appearing as a zombie.

Haunted Barn 01 Brownie

Brownie the cow is a vampire.  His cape was hand cut from washi tape over card stock.

Haunted Barn 01 William

And William the Goat is the devil 🙂  His cape is cut the same way as Brownie’s.

Haunted Barn 01 lit

The barn is lit from within and really looks cute at night.

And to make this entire ensemble even better, all the characters are on sale this week!!  Happy haunted shopping spree 🙂 Hugs, Fran

This month, Liz has created a Halloween Haunted House file!  It’s a cute decoration that has plenty of room for at least 3 cards.

Creative Circle October 2015 full

I made it up with the Haunt Ya Later stamp set and Happy Haunting Designer Series paper.  Here’s the house, with the sweet vampire at the door.  The ghosts are cut from the DSP.

Creative Circle October 2015

My cards are all shakers.  After doing this card, I couldn’t resist doing more!  The shaker piece is cut using the Deco Label Collection and filled with sequins, stars and more of that glitter thread stuff (technical term!)

Haunt Ya Later 05

I cut a spider web doily into quarters (just like the Haunted House) and used the pieces inside of the shakers.

You can purchase the pattern here and/or leave a comment here for a chance to win a cut out kit of your own.  What was your favorite Halloween costume?  Winner announced in 2 weeks.

I have several favorite costumes – my children have always loved to dress up.  But the most unique costume was the year my youngest went as a pin cushion.  I’ll have to find a picture 🙂

Now hop on over to see the other creations on this blog hop!  You don’t want to miss it!

Welcome to the Creative Circle September Blog Hop!  This month we are using the Backpack #2 pattern.  You will have a chance to win this pattern at the end of this post.

It’s a fun, easy pattern that holds 3 cards with envelopes.  I chose to use the Schoolhouse Designer Series paper and Kind Koala stamp set. The cards are the same design in different colors.  They were so much fun to color 🙂

Creative Circle September 2015

The backpack is large enough to be used for more things than cards.  It could easily hold a gift – and be decorated to suit your recipient!

I put a gift card size pocket on the back –

Creative Circle 3-D

Creative Circle July 2015

I’ve been asked to join the Creative Circle Design Team – focusing on lovely 3-D creations and Stampin UP products.  If you’ve just come from Barb’s post, you’re int he right place! This month’s template is a “murse” – or a man’s purse. You can get your own copy of the template at the end of this post. It’s an SVG file designed by Liz Holloway and I was able to cut it out on my Eclips. (or you can print and cut!)  I chose the Go Wild and Cherry on Top Designer Series paper to make my card holder and cards.

Creative Circle 715 bag 01

For my closure, I staggered 3 front panels (Go Wild, Tip Top Taupe and Basic Black) and added a closure “button” using Awesomely Artistic.

Creative Circle 715 handle

I used Antique Brads on the handle to help it swing out of the way.

Creative Circle Flower Shop 01

This card uses Flower Shop and Go Wild DSP on a Heavy White base. The leaves are the Bird punch.

Creative Circle Awesomelt Artistic 01

This card features the Bold Butterfly die.

Creative Circle Awesomely Artistic 02

And last, but not least, Awesomely Artistic and some Irresistibly Yours DSP.  Hope you’ve enjoyed these samples.  Hop on over to Liz Holloway’s blog to see more fun ways to use this template.  Hugs, Fran
