Sweet Stems

Have you seen this fancy fold made with the Scallop Tag Topper punch?  Such a nice, flat fold that is easy to decorate.  I used Sweet Stems and Banner Greeting and the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper for this one.  The black ribbon started life as Crumb Cake taffeta!  I ran it over my Stazon pad until I was happy with the color and then let it dry.  For the flower, I stamped it twice and then cut it out and stacked the pieces.  Dazzling Details adds just a bit of sparkle to the center.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Sweet Stems, Banner Greetings
Cardstock – Sahara Sand, Sweet Sorbet DSP, Whisper White
Ink – Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, (Jet Black Stazon for ribbon)
Etc – taffeta ribbon, rhinestones, Scallop Tag Topper punch, Dazzling Details

I really like these two pieces of DSP together.  Hugs, Fran

  2. Thanks Beverly!  I just realized that the stamp set is really Simple Stems – sigh…….Hugs, Fran

  3. Good morning, Fran: When I saw that DSP for the first time I thought it was a bit busy for my taste but, the trick is to use just a bit, like you did in your beautiful card. That pretty flower across the design softens it and the other strip of DSP complements it really nice. Love what you did with the tag punch, what an awesome idea. Thank you for sharing.

  4. Hi Maria,

I agree.  I thought it was too busy too.  A little bit goes a long way!  Thanks for your sweet comments – and I hope you don’t get pounded with snow this weekend.   Hugs, Fran
  5. I Love this Fran! Great combo of DSP. Are there any instructions available for the card fold on the internet?

  7. This design is lovely – the neutral tones on the right and the lovely flower…the dsp is interesting, but it makes my eyes cross…have to say that you used it wonderfully!

  8. Hi Carol!  You make me laugh because that’s how I feel about this piece of DSP!  Hugs, Fran
