Pure Gumption

I still have a few more June graduations to attend.  The schools around here graduate in May – so June seems really late to me!  I used Pure Gumption  and the exclusive SU Pop N Cuts base die to make this card.

The insert is the Sizzix Congrats – which works great in the SU base.  The numbers are Timeless Type punches from My Digital Studio.  I imported them into my ecutter and added a shadow layer so they would mimic the letters on Congrats.  This is one of the easiest things to do with an ecutter and MDS because all the punches are in SVG.

If I make this again, I think I’ll switch the colors.

The little hats are a 3/4″ square with a 5/8″ square popped up with a Dimensional.  The tassel is a 1/2″ circle punch (punch half way into your paper and then take a “bite” to make a curve)  Top it with a 1/4″ circle.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Pure Gumption
card stock – Regals Patterns Pack, Brights Pattern Pack, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Whisper White
Ink – Garden Green
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base die, My Digital Studio, 1/2″ and 1/4″ circle punches, Sizzix Congrats insert,  Scallop Edge punch

There is a cute mortar board stamp in this set – so you could completely skip the punch art if you don’t want to mess with it.  Hugs, Fran

  1. This is a super fun and fabulous Graduation card, with all the young people graduating this year, a card like this comes very handy. Love the cheerful colors and the sentiment is right on the money. Thank you for thinking of and sharing this card.
