Brayer By the Tide

I wanted to try a brayering technique I saw on Splitcoast so I cased a card by Julie Gearinger and gave it a try.  Mine’s not quite as fancy as her’s – if you remember, I borrowed this set from a friend and time was a’tickin’!  I brayered on Bashful Blue, then Marina Mist and then Tempting Turquoise for the background.  The images are stamped in Midnight Muse.  I had a pretty heavy hand with my brayer and will try this technique again to see if I can get more color variation – but it’s pretty.  Doesn’t the top picture look like the card is going overboard!

Stamp Set – By the Tide
card stock – Natural White, Midnight Muse
Ink – Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Tempting Turquoise, Midnight Muse
Etc – Wood Grain embossing folder, hemp twine. 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 square punches, 3/4 and 1 square punches

We got about an inch of snow – how about you?  Stay safe and warm today!  Hugs, Fran

  1. Love this card. Will need to try the brayer for a back ground. Keep em coming, Fran. Although I don’t always comment, I do check out all that you post.

  2. I think this is really neat…I would suggest more of the tempting turquoise or a bit of pool party to brighten it up a bit, but great card!
