Purple is such a funny color. It has all sorts of looks. It can be cool or warm, light or dark, bright or almost gloomy. I love Wisteria Wonder – but not on this card! Coloring the dahlia, I realized this was not going to work for what I wanted (but I finished it anyway!) Still wanting a “purple” card, I switched things up and tried this one –
Still “purple” but not so heavy. Instead of just coloring the images flat on the card, I used triple time stamping – only I just used two layers.
Supplies (Card 2)
Stamp sets – Another Thank You, Regarding Dahlias, Peaceful Petals
Cardstock – Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Wisteria Wonder
Stampin Write Markers – Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi
Etc – Soft Subtle Candy Dots
Now that it’s finished, I might have to
dig around and see if I have some Wisteria Wonder embossing powder.
That would be pretty. Hugs, Fran
Absolutely love the card with the Pink Pirouette colored flowers, the one with the Wisteria Wonder looks gray in this picture. Wisteria Wonder sometimes gives a gray shade, it really doesn’t look like it belongs in the purple or lavender families. I love the Wisteria flower but this ink doesn’t look like that shade. The first card looks more like a Sympathy card than a Thank You card, there is no color at all, the second card, on the other hand, is bright and cheery and happy. The double time stamping really looks gorgeous on this card. Thank you Fran, kudos for you finishing that first card even if you didn’t like it all that much. It still pretty but not for a Thank You.
I agree, Maria. The first card is so dark and dreary! Wisteria is a pretty color – but not here. Hugs, Fran
Your right about the color, the use of the pinks soften the overall card. It looks beautiful!
Thanks, Patsy!
