Keychains

There was a demo challenge a few days ago to make these cute little key chains that hold post it notes. (first shown by Angie Juda)  My measurements are just slightly different – I’m guessing it’s because of the post it notes I bought from Staples.  All they had were in the smaller sizes were very bright colors so that’s where the colors came from!

The Pink Passion card stock was cut the width of the note pad (2″) by 3 1/8″ and scored at 1 1/5 and again at 1 5/8.  I did stamp the Pink Passion with a little flower from Simply Said in Versamark – but you sure can’t see it on this picture!  Then I divided the pad in half and inserted it into the holder.  The Cropadile makes punching through the notepad a breeze!  I punched a scallop in YoYo Yellow and a 1 3/8 circle in Green Galore and adhered them with sticky strip to the front.  The S is from Lovely Letters stamped in Pink Passion and punched with the 1 1/4 circle punch.  Again, I used sticky strip – thinking if it’s a key chain dangle it will get a lot of punishment!  To put the stripes on the white grosgrain, I used my Stampin’ Write Markers and drew them on.  (I did both sides)  These might make cute teacher gifts for the end of the year.  I’m sure you can come up with fancier designs for them!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
