Sprinkles of Life Sneak Peek

Sprinkles of Life 01

Sprinkles of Life is the new Ronald McDonald House stamp set – and it has a matching punch!  For every set purchased, Stampin Up will donate $3 to RMHC.  This shaker card is a case of one Sara Douglas did for a Stampin Up event.  I used the Adventure Bound Designer Series paper (from the current mini catalog) and the Sprinkle of Life set to create a shaker card.

I added some glitter – a bit too much!  It looks like it snowed at the orchard 🙂  You are going to LOVE this set!  It will make trees, baskets, ice cream cones, cupcakes – lots and lots of uses!  Hugs, Fran

Keep Calm

Rectangular Accordion 06

There are a lot of finals going on in my family!  This card is going out to one of the hard-working students:)  The image is Saturated Canary (Reader), colored with Copics.  The paper is Back to Black on a Pop It Ups Rectangular Accordion Album.

The center image says it all!  But the best part is when you look at the back you will see –

She may not ever look at the back – but I know it’s there!  Funny, Aunt Fran 🙂

Fabulous Cheepers

PIU Cheepers 01

Here is Ms Cheepers – a new die from Karen Burniston – blinged out for the front of a card!  She is strutting her stuff on some pretty Flower Pot Designer Series paper wearing her pearls.

Her friends are nesting on the Pop It Up Barn Pop Stand and the sentiments were created in My Digital Studio. Because I used card stock to create these chicks, it was easy to turn them in either direction.  (DSP is easy too – just takes some thinking.)  To cover the back of the Pop Up stand, I used a 1 1/4″ x 3 piece of card stock, scored at 1/4.”

Forever Florals

Forever Floral 01

Forever Florals is a beautiful set that, unfortunately, will retire at the beginning of June.  This is one of my favorite style cards – easy to make and a great way to show off splashy sentiments.  To make the middle portion, I cut a piece of cardboard 3/4″ smaller than the Whisper White piece, center it and draw a line in pencil.  Stamp all the images and sentiments and then come back over the line using a ruler and a permanent marker.   Think of all the stamps that you could use!  The flower was colored with Blendabilities.

Sweet Laughter

Sweet Laughter 01

Sweet Laughter is a Mini Catalog stamp set with some little line drawn images and cute sentiments. I chose to do a clean and simple card for this one using only Whisper White, some Sweet Sadie washi tape and a button.  The image was colored with Blender pens and ink.  I’ve kind of overlooked this set up until now so you might see a few more before Mother’s Day – it’s really cute!  Hugs, Fran

Looking at the Retiring List – Apothecary Art

Apothecary Art 02

Some of my favorites are retiring soon and one is Apothecary Art.  With it’s matching framelits, this set is a “go-to” for Sympathy, Thank You and Birthday cards.  Thought I’d share some cards I’ve done over the years with this set – sort of a Throwback Thursday!

I’ll miss it when it’s gone – but I’ve enjoyed it while it was current!  Hugs, Fran

Chicken In

PIU Barn 01

Loving this new barn die from Karen Burniston!  We have a farm and our barns are black with red roofs and trim, so I decided to make this one look like ours.  Using Real Red and Basic Black I cut the barn and used it on the front of the card.  When the doors open you can see the Hay There die. The Sunshine is from the So You stamp set in the mini catalog.

And here are all the characters – Brownie the Cow (1022), Virgil the Pig (1024) and Cheepers the Chicken (1024) with a computer generated sentiment on the Pop It Ups Lots of Pops die.

The little banner is punched from the banner punch.  Wouldn’t these guys put a smile on someone’s face?  Hugs, Fran

More Kinda Eclectic

Kinda Eclectic 04

I was playing around with Sympathy card designs and went back to one design that we did at Convention last year and just re-vamped it.  By changing just a few elements and adding the stamp Trust God, I came up with a card I like.  The small splatters you see on the card were created by splattering another card and getting the ink everywhere!  Ha!  Well, I’ll just say “I meant to do that!”  Hugs, Fran

Butterfly Thinlit Update

This in from Stampin Up!  To hep you with shipping, use hostess code AW6ZGNYS on any order under $150.

Like you, we sincerely hoped that the Butterflies Thinlits Dies would arrive in time for Sale-A-Bration, and when that didn’t happen, again like you, we hoped they would be here in time for our Free Shipping promotion. Unfortunately, that is not going to be the case.

Originally they were scheduled to arrive by April 8; we then received notification from our supplier that although the ship had reached the west coast port, the container containing the Thinlits was still on the ship. We have since received verification from a third party that the vessel is still in the port–and though it docked on Friday, April 3, the container with the Thinlits has yet to be pulled.

Because the container has yet to be discharged from the vessel, the soonest the Butterflies Thinlits will arrive in our warehouse is the beginning of the week of April 13; our best estimate for orderability, based on this information, is April 15.

We realize you  may be disappointed you were not able to purchase the Thinlits in time to receive Sale-A-Bration rewards–especially in the discounted bundles. Therefore, from the day Butterflies Thinlits are again available through April 30, we are bringing you two special offers:

  1. Get the Butterflies Thinlits at a 15 percent discount–just $21.20!
  2. Buy any of the Butterflies Thinlits Bundles at the already-discounted price and choose one of three FREE Sale-A-Bration items (only available while supplies last)!
