Double Woven Easter Basket

This idea comes from the Karen Burniston Pop Up Peeps group on Facebook! Karen did a video on how to make a double long basket card from the Woven Basket die and I gave it a try. I decorated the inside with the Easter Charms and Spring Animals dies.

I tucked lots of chicks inside with the bunny taking front and center. Instead of flowers, I used the eggs from both the die sets.

The bunny’s tail is puffed up with a Marvy snow marker! Come on over to the group and see how easy this is to put together! Hugs, Fran

Karen Burniston February Designer Challenge – Love Sweet Love

February is the month of Love, Sweet Love, and the Design Team has some sweet cards for you! I started with a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card showing off the Karen Burniston Ice Cream Sundae die. The sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp die/stamp called Love You Like.

Aren’t the Ice Cream Cones cute? I added the face to coordinate with the patterned paper.

Inside is the Ice Cream Sundae pop up mechanism with all the lovely designer pieces! The bowl and spoon have a great emboss on them! I also used the KB Border Blends Party die to make the accent border. The movement with this die is amazing.

That spoon really moves as the card is opened!

Isn’t love sweet? Check out Karen’s blog post tomorrow to see her card and all the design teams creations! Hugs, Fran

Just Because

The Just Because set is a hostess set for the Occasions catalog. I stamped this image on watercolor paper and watercolored it with re-inkers. Then I added some cute little gems and matted it on some Happiness Abounds DSP. Very sweet! Hugs, Fran

Love You Pivot

Here’s a special Valentine’s card for a special someone. This is a 5 x 5 card that has glitter embossing paste in hearts on the left side and stripes on the right side. I added some Petal Pink re-inker to the hearts to make it more tone on tone.

The heart is dry embossed with the Abstract Impressions die and then die cut with a Meant To Be heart. The Love You is from Karen Burniston’s Love Word set. The scallop on the side is die cut with the die from Colorful Seasons.

Inside is the Karen Burniston Heart Pivot die. Note – these colors were so hard to photograph! Most of the details from the front are repeated on the inside.

Here’s a close up of the Heart Pivot. (You can click on the pictures to make them larger)

Such a pretty die! Hugs, Fran

Meant to Be Valentine Shaker

Valentine’s Day is almost here and I’m getting out a few more cards. This one uses the Meant To Be bundle from the Occasions catalog and a Concord & 9th Mosaic Turnabout Stamp. I die cut the heart from Pool Party card stock and traced around it on the white base – and die cut that. Then I cut 2 pieces of acetate and sandwiched some sequins between them, put it between the 2 layers and added the scallop trim to finish it off.

So now you can see the sequins on both sides! Hugs, Fran

Painted Glass Vellum

I made some cards using the vellum that goes with the Painted Glass stamp set, colored on the back with Stampin Blends. The sentiment is a retired Verve stamp. This vellum has such lovely patterns!

I just changed up the colors to match the flowers. The vellum is adhered by running it through my Xyron sticker maker after coloring.

There are 4 of these strips – but one got sent out before I remembered to snap a pic! Hugs, Fran

Winter Lodge

Well it is really, really cold around here so I thought an SVGcuts.com Winter Lodge was a good thing! This is an e-cutter pattern and it’s amazing – and huge! I think it’s about 2 feet long!

It was hard to photograph but easy to assemble. Just takes some time – but with this cold weather, that’s fine! The roof comes off so you can add lights or even a gift! Hugs, Fran

Beauty Abounds in Color

I will say it again – I love this die! Today I die cut the Butterfly die from the Occasions catalog from a piece of white card stock that I had ink blended with soft colors of dye ink. Balmy Blue, Lemon Lime Twist, Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. I added black over the top and put it on some black checked paper. Then I added some sequins 🙂 The colors just pop! Hugs, Fran

Birthday Cheer

This card is made with the Birthday Cheer bundle. The cupcakes are a die that cut the design on the edge of the yardstick. I used Coastal Cabana to go with the How Sweet It Is DSP from the Occasions catalog and inlaid the frosting and cherries /hearts. I added a few clear sequins to bling it up. Hugs, Fran

This Little Piggy

This little card has a little story! I made some card strips with new colors during the color change in June. These are some of the left over strips. I just made a pattern on the card and added the cute Pig from This Little Piggy and a sentiment. It’s a 4 x 4 card – great for a little note! Hugs, Fran
