More Sprinkles of Life and it’s matching punch! This time I used it as an ice cream cone on a notecard. The front layer is a piece of the SAB paper, Irresistibly Yours. I brayered over it with Blushing Bride and then punched a 2 inch circle from the side. The cone is Soft Suede on Crumb Cake and the ice cream is Soft Suede, Blushing Bride and Whisper White. I added some Dazzling Details to the highlights. June 2nd can’t come soon enough! Hugs, Fran

Sprinkles of Life Sneak Peek
Sprinkles of Life is the new Ronald McDonald House stamp set – and it has a matching punch! For every set purchased, Stampin Up will donate $3 to RMHC. This shaker card is a case of one Sara Douglas did for a Stampin Up event. I used the Adventure Bound Designer Series paper (from the current mini catalog) and the Sprinkle of Life set to create a shaker card.
I added some glitter – a bit too much! It looks like it snowed at the orchard 🙂 You are going to LOVE this set! It will make trees, baskets, ice cream cones, cupcakes – lots and lots of uses! Hugs, Fran
Forever Florals
Forever Florals is a beautiful set that, unfortunately, will retire at the beginning of June. This is one of my favorite style cards – easy to make and a great way to show off splashy sentiments. To make the middle portion, I cut a piece of cardboard 3/4″ smaller than the Whisper White piece, center it and draw a line in pencil. Stamp all the images and sentiments and then come back over the line using a ruler and a permanent marker. Think of all the stamps that you could use! The flower was colored with Blendabilities.
Looking at the Retiring List – Apothecary Art
Some of my favorites are retiring soon and one is Apothecary Art. With it’s matching framelits, this set is a “go-to” for Sympathy, Thank You and Birthday cards. Thought I’d share some cards I’ve done over the years with this set – sort of a Throwback Thursday!
I’ll miss it when it’s gone – but I’ve enjoyed it while it was current! Hugs, Fran
You can see the retiring lists here.
More Kinda Eclectic
I was playing around with Sympathy card designs and went back to one design that we did at Convention last year and just re-vamped it. By changing just a few elements and adding the stamp Trust God, I came up with a card I like. The small splatters you see on the card were created by splattering another card and getting the ink everywhere! Ha! Well, I’ll just say “I meant to do that!” Hugs, Fran
Saleabration Ends Tomorrow!
Sweet Laughter
I seem to be focusing on laughter this week 🙂 This is the Sweet Laughter set in the Spring Mini. This clean and simple card is a 4 1/4 x 11 Whisper White base with a 3 1/2 x 3 center piece stamped with the image and colored with Copic markers. I added some Sweet Sadie washi tape and a Subtle button – done! Clean and simple – and sweet! Hugs, Fran
Make ‘Em Laugh (or maybe just smile)
Second day of the Make ‘Em Laugh Challenge for the Karen Burniston Design Team. This card might just “squeeze by” as funny. The card is 6 x 6 and uses the Beach Edges and Palm Tree and Pail dies along with some of the words from the Photopolymer stamp set Countless Sayings #2.
The inside finds Rocky taking a bath in the Bathtub Pop Stand die under the palm trees! The sentiment is from So You.
The tub and bubbles are made from white Shimmer Sheets. Pop over to Karen’s Facebook page to see the rest of the cards for this challenge!
Groovy Baby March Designer Challenge
Today is the Karen Burniston Designer Challenge for March – Funny Cards! I started with Whiskers the Cat, the Oval and Rectangular Accordion dies and Flashback Designer Series paper. Whiskers is looking pretty sharp in his 70’s garb and bling glasses! His scarf is the collar with a hand cut little piece at the end. “Groovy” is from Groovy Love.
Inside is a sentiment from one of the SU Photopolymer stamps – Bombs Away Birthday. It has some really fun sayings. You can “rock on” by heading over Facebook to Karen’s page to see what all the other designers have created this month!
Sweet Bookworm
Here’s another practice piece made into a Pop It Ups Rectangular Pull card. It was a long, snowy winter and I did lots of these – hope you don’t get bored! The image in Saturated Canary’s Reader colored with Copic markers. I used Real Red card stock and Marina Mist Designer Series paper and ribbon for the card.
Inside is the Pop It Ups piece that comes with the Rectangular Pull Card die. The sentiment is from Four You in Real Red. This has become one of my favorite dies because so many things fit on it! Hugs, Fran
