This is a card we did in my June Stamp a Stack featuring the butterfly die and Teeny Tiny Wishes – and washi tape! We used a black butterfly behind the Sweet Sugarplum butterfly to help it “pop.” The sentiment is stamped in Rich Razzleberry so it doesn’t get lost. Hugs, Fran

Artsy Swirls
Fun, messy times in the craft room! I used a piece of watercolor paper for this Swirly Bird card and stamped it in Peek a boo Peach, Blushing Bride, Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum. Then I watercolored all over the piece to soften and blend the colors. Splatter the colors over the finish piece and once it dries (important – let it dry!) I stamped the sentiment in Stazon and some more swirls in Stazon and Tangerine Tango. I also added some die cut swirls. To finish it off, I added the washi tape (told you I was using it!) to the side.
And sequins – always add sequins! Hugs, Fran
Timeless Love Wreath
A Timeless Love Wreath to congratulate the newlyweds or new baby girl – or anything that needs some special congratulations! I watercolored the flowers on watercolor paper and put the Congratulations on vellum. I used a scallop punch on the double layered bottom and added some little pearls as accents.
Repeat the scallop on the inside.
Soft and pretty! Hugs, Fran
Hello Swirls
You’ve probably seen this design all over the place – cause it’s cute! 🙂 This uses more of the Swirly Bird stamp set and die and this time I inset the die pieces. By using the positive piece I was able to quickly place the negative pieces. I used the Hello You Thinlit covered in Crystal Effects for the Hello and Crazy about You to finish it off. And sequins – lots of sequins! Some things just need to be repeated. Hugs, Fran
Peek a boo Thanks
Swirly Bird Thanks! I used the Swirly Bird stamp set (again) to make some background paper in Peek a boo Peach and added some swirly roses in Peek a boo Peach and Calypso Coral. The “Thanks” is the Hello You Thinlits die cut in Peek a boo Peach and covered with Crystal Effect. I just snipped off the “s” and added the “you” from Crazy About You in Calypso Coral. Hugs, Fran
Remarkable Swirly Bird
I’m going to share some Swirly Bird cards over the next few days. This one has a slice down the middle to show the card stock underneath. It came about when I couldn’t find any matching ribbon in the size I wanted! The colors here are Mint Macaron and Crushed Curry. To do this design, I just cut the Whisper White piece 1/4″ smaller than I wanted the front to be, stamped away and then sliced the paper underneath the sentiment. When I layered it on the Mint card stock, there is a 1/4″ space showing. I adhered it flat to the card stock and popped it up on the card front.
For this one, I only subtracted an 1/8″ and used Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron and Crushed Curry. Then I popped the stamped pieces up on the Crushed Curry and adhered it to the front. Slightly different looks. Hugs, Fran
June Pop It Ups Designer Challenge – Ahoy, Dad
Day 2 of the Pop It Ups Designer Challenge brings me to Father’s Day. I used Karen Burniston’s Circle Accordion Album and Stampin Up’s Swirly Bird to make a fun Father’s Day card for any sea loving dad!
I also used Stampin Up”s Guy Greetings for the middle of my card. I love how the Ring Album die lets you chose the length of your card! Hope you enjoy this nautical look. Make sure to check out Karen’s blog to see the other summer cards! Hugs, Fran
June Pop It Ups Designer Challenge – Summer
Today starts the June Karen Burniston Pop It Ups Challenge – Summer! What does summer mean to you? My first card is the Butterfly Pivot card with a twist – it’s a shaker! I stenciled the front with the new Stage It Stencil – Blossoms Layering. This is a 2 step stencil that let me do the petals in Calypso Coral and the centers in So Saffron. And, of course, I had to add some Dazzling Details to the centers!. The sentiment is from Stampin Up’s Watercolor Wishes.
Because there are layering pieces in the Butterfly Pivot die, it was easy to cut a frame for my shaker. I used a sponge to add the ink in an ombre style.
On the inside I repeated the stenciling and added a banner that matches the front of the card. This is my idea of summer! Make sure to check out the other summer ideas on Karen’s Blog. Hugs, Fran
Seaside Shore Spinner
Yesterday I showed you a spinner made with the stamp set Shooting Star. Today I thought I’d play with another set that works with the Sliding Star Framelit – Seaside Shore.
I stamped the anchor (embossed in silver), sentiment and fish, colored them and cut them out. The seaweed was stamped directly on the By the Shore Designer Series paper and colored with Copic markers. The fish spins on 2 pennies sandwiching a Dimensional.
I also added some of those little accent pieces you can buy that go in vases. (I have 3 jars of them! What was I thinking!) Enjoy the sweet fishy. Hugs, Fran
Shooting Star
You may have guessed by now that I love cards that pop, move, shake, pull or – in this case – spin! This new stamp set and matching die help you easily make a spinner card. The set is called Shooting Star and the die is the Sliding Star Framelit. It can be done in a complete circle or a half circle.
There are 2 pennies on either side of a Dimensional that make the spinner work. It’s really fun to watch it spin. This card is a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
