Monster hugs! This little monster from Yummy in My Tummy is holding a string of Valentines and is on an action wobbler (like this monster) to greet you. The sentiment is from Falling for You. It’s hard to see, but background is the Falling Petals embossing folder. Hugs, Fran
Valentines! Yes, it’s time to start thinking about them. Using the new Sealed with Love, I created a special Valentine. On the front I used the new Sending Love Designer Series paper, Sealed with Love stamp set and the Sweet & Sassy heart dies. The heart behind the sentiment is cut from Glimmer paper.
Inside I made a heart pop up! Following Karen Burniston’s directions for a Twist Circle Panel Card, I changed the panel to hearts. All you need is 4 hearts that are approximately 3 inches tall. I adhered them together so they measure 9″ long and scored at the same measurements in the video. The “i love” was die cut from Sunshine Wishes and the “you” is from Hello You thinlits. Here’s my version of the Salebration set Hey Chick. I used inks and an aqua painter to color the hens and Serene Scenery Designer Series paper for the card. Lots of fun! Hugs, Fran
This Rocking Horse is from Little Cuties and is colored with the new Watercolor pencils. I used the Lots of Labels framelits and some buttons from my stash to finish it up. The pencils are wonderful! Hugs, Fran
Do you ever buy a set because of one or two images? Yep, that’s why I bought Little Cuties! The kitten and puppy are so sweet I just had to have it! Colored with Copics, I used these two together to make a simple card. I stamped the puppy and put a mask over him so I could stamp the kitten behind him. I also masked off part of the sentiment. This new set is Builder Birdcage and it comes with lots of pieces to create all sorts of birdcage scenes. For this first card I just made a basic cage with one little bird. The paper is Sweet Sugarplum and the Sweet Sugarplum Designer Series paper. To make the chain that holds the perch fit on the cage, I used a post it note to cover the top of cage (the chain is long) Hugs, Fran
Splashes of color make this gal look like she’s dancing in the sunshine. I splashed the color on Shimmery White card stock – drying it between each color – and then stamped the Beautiful You girl in Stazon. The little splatters are from Avant Garden. Colors used are Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Tangerine Tango.
For this card, I did the same technique using Pool Party, Island Indigo and Soft Sky. The splatter is done in Soft Sky. It’s addicting! Hugs, Fran
This Beautiful You card was done with ink and an aqua painter. Very simple water coloring and the sentiment on vellum. The background is just a light wash of Pool Party. The Daffodil Delight umbrella really stands out! Hugs, Fran
Balloon Adventures is a fun set with a matching die that makes a pop up card! I started with a shaker front using the Party Animal Designer Series paper and the pop up insert as a flat piece. (I probably should have shown this card inside to front!)
