Beautiful Day Dreams

I was playing with the butterfly in the Beautiful Day set and came up with these backgrounds. Starting with watercolor paper, I stamped an old background in Soft Suede and then stamped the butterfly with water only. The magic happens when you sprinkle Brusho over the water stamped images. Do this slowly – meaning add a color, let it “do it’s thing” and then add your next color. Then I tilted the paper to the side to let the Brushos run and spread the colors around. Because I used blue and orange on this piece (and blue and orange make brown) I did one butterfly, let it dry, and then did the next one. I added a beautiful, but retired, sentiment from Verve.

For this card I started with the new Crackle background on watercolor paper. I stamped the butterflies in water and added blue and yellow Brushos. This is really addicting 🙂 Hugs, Fran

Florentine Filigree

This was one of the new sets in the Spring Catalog that I had to have! Florentine Filigree is a bundle that includes the die and stamp set. A Stamparatus is very helpful with this bundle because it’s already set up to stamp with the correct spacing by moving the stamp down hinge, by hinge. I did mine in Pool Party and stamped the larger image in Versamark and white heat embossed, and the smaller image in Pool Party. So pretty! Hugs, Fran

Meant to Be Treats

How about some treat packaging for Valentines Day? I started with the new All My Love DSP and die cut it using the Petite Treats die with the heart topper. Then I stamped the heart from Meant to Be, added some color and a cute sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings. There’s a frame heart that I die cut and added around the heart and glued it to the treat.

It’s super cute and holds quite a bit! And it’s easy to make up so you can make lots of them. Hugs, Fran

Special Animal Outing

I used the Stampin Up Animal Outing set with the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel die to create this birthday card. You turn the spinner and the sentiment changes. The rhino is colored is Copics and the balloon is the punch.

Just something fun for someone special 🙂 Hugs, Fran

Magical Mermaid Alcohol Lift

Here’s the Stampin Up set Magical Mermaid with an alcohol ink background. I dropped alcohol inks on my paper, used Some alcohol blending solutions to move it around – and kept playing until I liked the results!

On this one, I did the same thing using only blue alcohol inks. Then I stamped it with some Alcohol Lift ink. It removes the ink from the paper. You can get two prints from this technique if you immediately stamp another piece of paper with the stamp. I would show you that piece if I hadn’t spilled coffee on it! Anyway……It’s fun to play! The mermaids were colored with Stampin Blends and the tail was coated with Shimmer pen. Hugs, Fran

Humming Along

This is a catalog case of Humming Along from the Occasions catalog. It’s done on a notecard (3 1/2 x 5) and uses the Balmy Blue gingham paper for the background. The flower is colored with Stampin Blends and matted on strips of the Flax ribbon. I added a few jewels to finish it off. Hugs, Fran

Serene Garden

Here’s another version of Serene Garden, using the stamp set to make the “mat” around the image. The images were stamped, colored with Stampin Blends, and die cut to pop up.

I added some clear dots to the front – simply because I love them 🙂 Hugs, Fran

Let It Ride

Since I live in Lexington, Ky, this set really called out to me. I started with a background using the Tin background folder. Then I stamped the horse, masked it off and added the blue using a stamp from Artisan Textures. After removing the mask, I colored the horse with Stampin Blends and added the sentiment. This idea was really inspired by this card…

This is Beautiful You, in a drawn frame with the same kind of background stamping. Hugs, Fran

Personalized Cards

I was asked to make some personalized cards for a young lady as a gift from her grandmother. Using Fairy Celebrations, I colored the images and personalized the greeting on my computer. The background paper is the SAB butterfly paper!

I made them up in a few color schemes and added some Nuvo Crystal drops to the backgrounds.

It was fun to sit and color these cute images.

Tomorrow I’ll share the ones I made for her brother. Hugs, Fran

Let’s Have Tea

This set is called Tea Together and the stamp set is in the Spring Catalog while the dies are in the Saleabration Catalog! I cased the card shown on page 49 of the Spring catalog, using my Stampin Blends to color the teapot and the Delicate Lace paper for the background. What a fun set to color!

For this card I colored the teapot with Stampin Blends in stripes and used another piece of the Lace paper for the background. The bottom of the teapot is tucked under the opening and the rest is popped up with Dimensionals.

FYI – I am having website issues. Big issues and they are my fault! So if things look wonky, that’s what’s going on! Sheesh! Hugs, Fran
