This Little Piggy

This Little Piggy is my current favorite set in the new Annual Catalog!  They are just so cute!  I started this card with Playful Background and the Diagonal Stripes background stamps.  The colors are the new In Color, Powder Pink, and Black.  The die used is Karen Burniston’s new Katherine Label Pop Up (1011). It has some pretty labels that I used to make a frame around the opening.  The label the pig is on is embossed with a cloud embossing folder.

As you open the card the main label twists to the inside.  Here you can kind of see the Crystal Effects on the “bubble” part of the Playful Backgrounds stamp.  I can’t use this stamp without Crystal Effects!  You can also see how I used a black marker to go around the edge of the Diagonal Stripes label to make it pop.

On the inside I used the new cloud stencil and embossing paste and another label die cut.  Doesn’t this little piggy look happy flying in the clouds?  The inside sentiment is stamped in Versamark on a black strip and heat embossed.  It’s attached on a piece of window sheet so it moves with the pig. The mechanism on this die is super simple!

Here you can see how it works – it really makes my pig fly 🙂  I did a whole group of cards using this stamp in these colors that I’ll continue to share!  Hugs, Fran

Lemon Lime Twist

There’s a new color in town – Lemon Lime Twist.  I paired it with Wisteria Wonder and came up with a bright, cheery card.  The stamp set is one of my favorite carry overs, Falling Flowers.  The embossing folder is the Petal Burst TIEF.  This is going to be a go to color!  Hugs, Fran

Daisy Delight 3-D

The new Daisy Delight bundle gives you the ability to create not only cards and scrapbooks, but 3-D items as well.  I used the stamp and matching punch to make little flower arrangements for the gals who attended our May Team Meeting,  The leaves are done with the Vintage leaves set with matching die and the little box is from Karen Burniston’s Flower Pot Pop Up.  I used wire to make the flower stems and tooth picks to make the leaf stems.  There’s a styrofoam ball inside the box to hold the arrangement.

The centers of the flowers have these new faceted gems (that are wonderful!) and the box is filled with shred.  Cute!  Hugs, Fran

Birthday Charm Accordion

This cute accordion card is a new die by Karen Burniston.  The card base is the Charm Accordion and it’s 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches and the die cuts both pieces of this accordion at the same time.  The squirrel is one of her new Woodland Animals (there’s a squirrel, fox and raccoon!)  The little packages at the bottom are from the Birthday Charms die set.

The squirrel is two pieces – the body and the tummy.  The arms are free so it was east to add a package.  The face is drawn on using the openings in the die.

Here’s the inside.  The sentiment is from SU’s Painter’s Palette.  See the birthday hat?  It’s held onto the smaller piece with a jump ring die 🙂  Cute!

The packages are all from the the Birthday Charms too.  The entire set is darling!  You can find more information about the dies here.  Hugs, Fran

Create Every Day

Here’s another Crafting Forever card that was colored with watercolor pencils and an aqua painter on watercolor paper.  The rhinestones and Dazzling Detail dots are….well….they’re there!  The background paper is Melon Mambo.  (From Pop of Pink – but you could use any paper and just match the pot)  Hugs, Fran

Just a Note

Crafting Forever is a new and fun set!  I used the pen image and stamped it three times across a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 piece of Whisper White in Momento Tuxedo black ink.  I used Copics to color the pens and mounted it on a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (scored at 4 1/4) piece of heavy white card stock.  The sentiment is from Better Together.  Its a simple card – fun to color!  Hugs, Fran

Copics used – RV29,RV25, Rv23, R000, YR68, B15, B16, B12, G16, YG09, YG07, YG06, BG000, Y00, Y35, Y28, C5, C3, C1, C00

Shooting Star at Night

Have you ever started a background and had it get totally out of hand?  Ha!  That’s what this one did!  I masked off a moon and then blended Rich Razzleberry, Marina Mist and Night of Navy on white card stock and then dropped water on it and soaked it up with a paper towel.  I used a silver gel pen to make little dot-stars and then decided it needed foil stars – and more stars.  It was out of control!  Finally I die cut the slider die from Shooting Star and add the star spinner. I colored the “flame” with Copics and paper pieced the star in foil.  Well it’s something 🙂  Hugs, Fran

Eastern Beauty

Here’s a card using the Eastern Beauty bundle that’s available right now – well actually, just the vinyl stickers!  I made a shaker card by cutting the center of the vinyl sticker using a circle die.  After adding acetate behind the opening, I added more stickers.  The shaker part is black, gold and white sequins.  The sentiment is from Floral Phrases.

This is a case of the new catalog 🙂  These dies can do so many different things!  And the best part is you can get them now!  Hugs, Fran

Balloon Shaker

I love shaker cards but have a terrible time deciding how much filler to put in them.  This one is stuffed!  But boy, does it shake!  I used the Balloon Adventure stamp set and matching die and Tasty Treats Specialty paper to make this card.  The Sprinkles Embellishments inside match the paper.  Very fun – if a little too full.  Hugs, Fran
