Wild About Flowers

Here’s a two takes on a card using Wild About Flowers.  On the left I used 2 shades of green – Pear Pizzaz and Garden Green – on the leaves and on the right I only used Pear Pizzaz. The flowers are Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight.  I chose two different ribbon.

I thought the 2 greens was a bit messy looking – maybe?

So that’s a variation on a theme!  Hugs, Fran

Ribbon of Courage

Ribbon of Courage is a wonderful set for cards to cheer those in need of a special word of encouragement.  I used the new embossing paste and decorative mask to make the background.  The ribbon was stamped in Momento ink so I could use my Copics to color the image.  The sentiment is on a banner that I just flagged at the ends.  Hugs, Fran

CAS Flirty Flowers

Berry Burst and Flirty Flowers – that makes an easy card.  I cut an inch away from the front of this card and stamped the flowers on each edge.  After adding a strip of Berry Burst I reassembled the card (turning the bottom flowers so they mirror the top), added a sentiment and some rhinestones – that’s it!  Choose your favorite color and try it!  Hugs, Fran

Those Beautiful Tranquil Tulips

This is my case of the Tranquil Tulips card on page 223 – just in Berry Burst with the Oh My Stars embossing folder in the background.  The leaves are Lemon Lime Twist and are stamped on a Lots of Labels Framelit.

This card also uses Tranquil Tulips in Berry Burst with some Old Olive DSP in the background.  What a beautiful Hostess set!  Makes you want to have a party, doesn’t it?  🙂  Hugs, Fran

Coffee Cafe Gift Card Holder

This is one of my favorite styles of gift card holders (and one of my favorite gift cards!)  The front of the holder is simply strips of the Coffee Break Designer Series paper and matching card stock that has been run through the Big Shot using the Oh My Stars embossing folder.

The gift card holder is made by cutting a piece of Crumb Cake card stock 4 1/4 x 10 1/2 and scoring at 4 1/2, 5 1/2,and 6 1/2.  Pinch the fold to the inside and adhere only at the bottom of the fold and use the slot die in the matching die set to cut the opening.

Stamp the sentiment and share with a friend 🙂  Hugs, Fran

Coffee Cafe

This is my sort-of-case of the card on page 30.  There are lots of cute cards on this page featuring the new Coffee Break Suite!  I made my card a full size (A2) card using the Coffee Cafe stamp set with it’s matching dies.  This card has a little pocket on the front to hold a Starbucks card.  Since I didn’t have any Pool Party ribbon, I chose to use burlap and added some Pool Party hearts.

Check out the stopper in the coffee cup!  So cute!  Hugs, Fran

At Home With You

This is At Home With You – a stamp set with matching die.  The door is designed to open so  you can tuck a message inside.  I decided to make my house white siding with a wood door.  The Crumb Cake card stock was stamped with the Hardwood stamp first and then die cut.  The Background for the card was done on the Simply Scoring tool.  The other little pieces were stamped, colored and die cut with their matching dies.

The sentiment is designed to fit inside the door.  You can be as simple or fancy as you want with this set!  Hugs, Fran

Oh So Eclectic

Another bright card!  I almost need to issue a “sunglasses alert!!  This is Oh So Eclectic in Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry.  To do the background I wet the water color paper in the area for each color, added the color and dried it before moving on to the next color.  Once everything looked ok to me, I stamped over the top of the colors with the flower in the coordinating ink.  The card base is Tangerine Tango on Tangerine Tango.  Then I added some white gel pen (because I can’t help myself!) and a sentiment embossed in white embossing powder on black card stock.  Hugs, Fran

Flirty Flowers

Here’s a fun card that bright and cheery!  Using the new set, Flirty Flowers, I stamped the image at different heights across the bottom of the white card stock.  On a few of the images I wiped off some stems before stamping so that it fits better.  The little flowers and leaves were colored with Stampin Write Markers – Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Pear Pizzaz.  The bottom scallop is done with the die from Seasonal Layers (yep, using THAT one a lot!)  I used some scraps of Melon Mambo DSP to edge the white and tied it off with what turned out to be Crushed Curry ribbon.  Close enough 🙂  Hugs, Fran

Dazzled

Using pieces from Pocketful of Sunshine, I created a tag that’s a pocketful of sparkle!  Starting with a rounded tag, I used a stencil to sponge the rays and then misted it with some shimmer spray.  The sunshine is punched with a 1 3/4″ circle punch that I covered with Wink of Stella.  The sun glasses were stamped in black and heat embossed in clear, ice cut with the matching die and covered with Wink of Stella.  I heat embossed the sentiment in black and added some rhinestones and enamel stars.  The scallop at the bottom is done with the scallop die in the Seasonal Layer Thinlits and sandwiched between the tag and a blank tag that was adhered on the back.  It sparkles 🙂
