More Spiral Roses

Here are some more projects using various sizes of the Spiral Rose die (129379) that I showed you yesterday.   This photo gives you a really good idea of the size because it fits perfectly in the circle of the Decorative Window Gift Box (132146).

I wrapped the box with Pink Pirouette Chevron ribbon.

These little plastic containers are from the wedding section of a craft store.  I stamped the “baby” from One in a Million on the side in White Stazon and put a normal size rose on the top.

Not as easy to see – empty and in a photograph – but the white really stands out.

Hope you’ve enjoyed all the roses!  Hugs, Fran

Pop a Million

One thing I love about the Soho Subway in the new catalog is how the paper can stand alone in it’s design.  I love the BIG numbers and used it with the SU Pop N Cuts base to create the front of this card.

The only things added are the flower (from Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet), the sentiment and the tiny strip of Crisp Cantaloupe.

I used a Sizzix insert called Funky Label and added more Timeless Type numbers and a little banner made with the 7/8 scallop punch.

The numbers are on fishing line – and attached to each other so they weren’t flopping all over the place!

I also stamped off an image from Clockworks on the sentiment – just for fun.  The Happy Birthday is also stamped directly on the DSP.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – One in a Million, Bring on the Cake, Clockworks
card stock – Soho Subway DSP, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink – Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet, Sizzix Funky Label insert and Framelit, 7/8 Scallop punch, fishing line

It’s a very busy card!  Hugs, Fran

Above and Beyond

Secret Garden with some washi tape on the side!  I saw this color combo in Papercrafts and just loved it – so I decided to use it here.  The background uses the new Mosaic Madness embossing folder.  This is such a great folder because the design can be the main focus or a subtle background.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Secret Garden, One in a Million
card stock – Smokey Slate, Whisper White
Ink – Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Basic Grey
Etc – This and That Epic Day washi tape, Secret Garden framelit. Label framelits, Modern Mosaic embossing folder, 1/2 circle punch, Crystal Effects

Yes, there is Crystal Effects in the center of the flowers – which I then set something on top of not once – but twice!  Sheesh!  I finally decided to just go with it.  Hugs, Fran

Soho Babe

Some old and some new – a Soho Babe!  The front of this card uses the new In Color – Crisp Cantaloupe and the Soho Subway Designer Series paper along with the lace from the Artisan Kit, natural button and ribbon and a Cute Clip.

I stamped the sentiment directly onto a piece of the Designer Series paper and added a Scallop border.  Then I used Clockworks to add some dimension to the bottom of the card.

And here she is – ready to hit the town in her retro style dress.

My youngest likes these dresses that have the lace at the bottom.  (I always tell her that her slip is showing – “Oh Mom!”)

I added a little banner with the smallest ticket punch and a bit more of the Clockworks stamp.

The collar and ruffle are some tulle, folded and gathered and attached to the back of the form.  Her purse is a 5/8″ punch with some gold thread to make the handle.

The top of the card is the Word Window punch – lined up and cut with the Edgelit.  Just attach them to a skinny strip of cardstock and then die cut.

I attached another little note that I made in My Digital Studio.  The arrow shows on both sides of the card.  Behind her is a crumpled Paper Doily – just add some more texture.

Don’t forget her necklace!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – One in a Million, Clockworks, Bring on the Cake, Creative Elements
Card stock – Crisp Cantaloupe, Soho Subway DSP, First Edition, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink – Crisp Cantaloupe, Early Espresso
Etc – Word Window punch, Ticket punch, 5/8 square punch, pearls, Paper Doily, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Linen thread, Artisan Kit, Natural button, Natural Trim, Scallop Edge punch, Cute Clip, Summer Starfruit ribbon, tulle, gold thread

Hope you enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Love Blooms

Blooming with Kindness is such a pretty stamp set.  The top card is a wedding card in Cherry Cobbler and Baja Breeze. I used Dazzling Details on the flower.   The bottom card was me just fooling around   I tried using a sponge dauber with a lighter color to highlight the flower.  Do you have a preference?

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Blooming with Kindness, One in a Million
Card stock – Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze
Ink – Cherry Cobbler, Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Labels framelit die, Fan embossing folder, Baja Breeze seam binding, Dazzling Details

(The bottom card is Cajun Craze and Old Olive)  Hugs, Fran

Beautiful Trim

Here’s another idea for the Flower Trim.  I saw this technique and layout on Lydia’s blog and thought I’d give it a try.

Take a piece of Flower Trim and use sponge daubers to color the flowers.  I wanted to do it in pinks so I used Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Melon Mambo. You want the colors to blend into each other so overlap the colors a bit as you move up the trim.  Since this is a baby card, I wanted the colors to blend softly so I …….you guessed it….spritzed it with shimmer mist!  I used an alcohol and Shimmer Frost mix and spritzed it until the colors blended all the way through.

Supplies
Stamp Set – One in a Milion
card stock – Whisper White, Pink pirouette
Ink – Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Melon Mambo
Etc – Flower Trim, Designer Label punch, Delicate Lace tape

So soft and pretty!  Thanks, Lydia, for a great idea.  Hugs, Fran
