Soho Babe

Some old and some new – a Soho Babe!  The front of this card uses the new In Color – Crisp Cantaloupe and the Soho Subway Designer Series paper along with the lace from the Artisan Kit, natural button and ribbon and a Cute Clip.

I stamped the sentiment directly onto a piece of the Designer Series paper and added a Scallop border.  Then I used Clockworks to add some dimension to the bottom of the card.

And here she is – ready to hit the town in her retro style dress.

My youngest likes these dresses that have the lace at the bottom.  (I always tell her that her slip is showing – “Oh Mom!”)

I added a little banner with the smallest ticket punch and a bit more of the Clockworks stamp.

The collar and ruffle are some tulle, folded and gathered and attached to the back of the form.  Her purse is a 5/8″ punch with some gold thread to make the handle.

The top of the card is the Word Window punch – lined up and cut with the Edgelit.  Just attach them to a skinny strip of cardstock and then die cut.

I attached another little note that I made in My Digital Studio.  The arrow shows on both sides of the card.  Behind her is a crumpled Paper Doily – just add some more texture.

Don’t forget her necklace!

Bigger is Better

How about making your very special cards huge!  This card is a 4 x 9 1/4 finished size and I love how these look.  This was for my SIL’s birthday (and it was late…..sigh) I used the same design as this card and changed a few elements to make it work for the occasion.

Wow this picture is crooked!  You’ll just have to lean a bit to make it straight!

Supplies
Stamp set – Creative Elements, Happy Birthday Wishes
card stock – Textured Vanilla, Early Espresso
Ink – Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Pretty in Pink
Etc – corner rounder, 1″ circle, 1 3/8 circle, Pretty in Pink satin ribbon, pearls, vanilla brad (retired)

Creative Elements Remake

I remade this card so that the colors would work with my board at convention.  When I told you that the first card was a “reject,” it’s because the colors didn’t work for what I was doing.  (I actually like the colors on the first one best!)  Here’s the remake –

To make the border design above the ribbon, I simply masked the top area with a Post It note and stamped the flowers and then I had a nice, straight line to stamp the border.

Supplies
Stamp sets – Thank You Kindly, Creative Elements
card stock – textured Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Ink – Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Early Espresso
Etc – Marina Mist 1/8 ribbon, pearls, Designer Frame Oval, Oval punch, corner rounder

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Creative Elements Pocket Album

This is the Pocket Album I showed at convention –

The front is stamped with Creative Elements and has several Beau Chateau SIde Notes – and a vintage tag with an antique brad – to decorate.  Here’s the inside –

To make the album you need two 6 x 12 pieces of card stock (Pink Pirouette) scored in half for the covers and a 6 x 12 piece of card stock scored at every inch for the accordion middle.  The cover is attached on each end of the accordion.  Make 5 Petite Pockets (3 in Pink Pirouette and 2 in Marina Mist) and attach them to the exposed accordion folds.  I added some inside pockets and some more Side Notes (because I just love them!)

Inside each pocket I put a note card like the one above.  The ribbon to tie it closed is run through the back cover piece only.  I used my hobby blade to cut a slit on the folded edge so it could run all the way through.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Creative Elements Page

This is an 8 x 8 page using Creative Elements, Beau Chateau DSP and the Beau Chateau Side Notes.  It’s one of my favorite pictures of Samantha!

I cut the DSP so that the frame image was just on the bottom right side.  Then I stamped the sentiment and added those cute little antique trinket brads.  I stamped directly onto the photo with white Stazon, matted and mounted it above the sentiment.

I stamped the flower in Cherry Cobbler several times and cut out the different layers to make a dimensional flower.

I did the journaling on a Beau Chateau Side Note and tucked it in behind the picture.  An antique brad and some Victorian Lace ribbon – and there it is!  Oh yea – the DSP on the left side is from the Subtles paper pack!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Simple Creative Elements

This was a simple card – not very splashy either!

I stamped the Very Vanilla in Soft Suede and colored it with a Pink Pirouette Stampin Write Marker.  Then I stamped the oval-ish image in Pink Pirouette and stamped the sentiment over it.  All the Very Vanilla is sponged with Soft Suede.  The ribbon was looped over several times at the top.

Okay – not my favorite but there you go!

Supplies
Stamp set – Creative Elements
card stock – Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette DSP
Ink – SOft Suede, Very Vanilla
SWM – Pink Pirouette
Etc – pearls, Crumb Cake seam binding, Eyelet Border punch

Pretty Matchbox

I love using the Matchbox die!  It makes such a pretty presentation for a small gift.  For this one I die cut it in Pink Pirouette and stamped the butterfly from Creative Elements in Pink Pirouette Classic ink on the top of the band.  Then I used the oval embossing folder and oval punch to make a window.  Window sheets make a great way to make a “peek a boo.”

To make the butterfly, I stamp it three times on Whisper White in Pink Pirourette and cut it out.  Use Tombow Multipurpose to adhere two pieces of fishing string between the layers – glue just at the center – and let it dry.  Add pearls to the center and on the ends of fishing string.  Then I used Stampin Write Markers to make the little tag, punch out with the tag punch and add a little pearl to the flower center.  I used Tombow to glue the butterfly and tag to the box.

The sides are covered with Pink Pirouette DSP.  Some Whisper White taffeta ribbon (and the Crop a dile!) make the pull.

Wouldn’t these make cute shower/wedding favors?  Here’s a few more variations on this idea –
