Pop a Million

One thing I love about the Soho Subway in the new catalog is how the paper can stand alone in it’s design.  I love the BIG numbers and used it with the SU Pop N Cuts base to create the front of this card.

The only things added are the flower (from Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet), the sentiment and the tiny strip of Crisp Cantaloupe.

I used a Sizzix insert called Funky Label and added more Timeless Type numbers and a little banner made with the 7/8 scallop punch.

The numbers are on fishing line – and attached to each other so they weren’t flopping all over the place!

I also stamped off an image from Clockworks on the sentiment – just for fun.  The Happy Birthday is also stamped directly on the DSP.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – One in a Million, Bring on the Cake, Clockworks
card stock – Soho Subway DSP, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink – Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet, Sizzix Funky Label insert and Framelit, 7/8 Scallop punch, fishing line

It’s a very busy card!  Hugs, Fran

Soho Babe

Some old and some new – a Soho Babe!  The front of this card uses the new In Color – Crisp Cantaloupe and the Soho Subway Designer Series paper along with the lace from the Artisan Kit, natural button and ribbon and a Cute Clip.

I stamped the sentiment directly onto a piece of the Designer Series paper and added a Scallop border.  Then I used Clockworks to add some dimension to the bottom of the card.

And here she is – ready to hit the town in her retro style dress.

My youngest likes these dresses that have the lace at the bottom.  (I always tell her that her slip is showing – “Oh Mom!”)

I added a little banner with the smallest ticket punch and a bit more of the Clockworks stamp.

The collar and ruffle are some tulle, folded and gathered and attached to the back of the form.  Her purse is a 5/8″ punch with some gold thread to make the handle.

The top of the card is the Word Window punch – lined up and cut with the Edgelit.  Just attach them to a skinny strip of cardstock and then die cut.

I attached another little note that I made in My Digital Studio.  The arrow shows on both sides of the card.  Behind her is a crumpled Paper Doily – just add some more texture.

Don’t forget her necklace!

Special Birthday

i have several family birthday coming up and need some special cards.  This one uses one of my favorite sets – Word Play.  And this is my favorite sentiment in the set.  The base of this card is the Sizzix Flip Accordion Album die.

When you open it it swings out like this!  I mixed and matched all kinds of supplies here   I used some Basic Gray polka dot DSP along with More Amore.  I stamped the sentiment on to the paper with Stazon and colored the “world” with a Pool Party Stampin Write Marker.  Then I filled the circle with Crystal Effects.

The arrow is an MDS punch that I used my ecutter to cut out.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Bring on the Cake, Word Play
card stock – Basic Gray, Basic Gray DSP, More Amore DSP
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Crystal Effects, Pool Party button, MDS, Flip Album die

The retired list comes out tonight at 2 am my time – yawn!  Should I set my alarm?  (and have I doomed Word Play by saying it’s one of my favorites?)  Hugs, Fran

A 10 In So Many Ways

Isn’t it sweet?  I have 2 nieces that are ballerinas and they were the inspiration for this card.  This is the new Pop N Cut die in the Spring Mini – and I love it!  Isn’t the mirror cute?  That’s Brushed Silver card stock with another dress die cut so it looks like a reflection.  Okay – I had too much fun here!

A Case of a Case

I needed a masculine birthday card so I cased my own case!  Actually I still had some pieces cut for this card and decided I could shake it up and make a birthday card.  I used Bring on the Cake to suit the occasion –

The flames of the candles are made with the Create a Cupcake punch.

I hope my US readers enjoy Thanksgiving and hope that everyone is having a wonderful week!  I have family here from out of town and am already enjoying the time I get to spend with them.  Hugs, Fran
