Happy New Stampin’ Year!  This is one of my favorite times of the year – the new Idea Book!  It ranks right up there with Christmas! Wouldn’t it be nice if Santa brought stamps in July?  Here are a few “don’t miss” things to keep you up all night dreaming.

New hostess benefits!  Wow!  Check out the chart on page 13.  (and yes, there is a misprint at the $650 level, but we’ll get that taken care of later.)  Look at how much more you get for hosting a workshop!  And the level 1 and level2 hostess sets have all gone up in value – too cute!  I want them all! 

Check out the new Ronald McDonald stamp set, Wishing You the Best (page 76).  Love it!  I’m kind of “in” to circles this year.  Make sure you look at the new “In Colors” on page 201 – they’re beautiful.  And the new Simply Scrappin’ Kits and Designer Series paper!  A new cutter!  Ohmigosh!

Are you pouring over the retired stamp set list?  I’ve checked it twice, marked them off in my Idea Book, and made my list of the ones I can’t live without.  I just can’t wait to get my hands on the new Idea Book!  Patience…patience.  So for now I’m just enjoying some oldies but goodies that are on their way out.

So what’s your favorite stamp set that is retiring?  Any “shockers” for you?  I was surprised to see Shapes and Shadows go – I love that set.  Favorite Friends and Birthday Banter surprised me because I use them all the time!  It’ll be hard to decide which to feature in June!  How about a 3 day stamp camp so we can use them all??? 
The June Bon Voyage is going to be so much fun!  I’ll scan a pic of the card holder we’re going to make – it’s darling!  I’ll need to change the stamp set though.  I used Looks Like Spring without even thinking about it – I just love that set!  June starts the Summer Mini – this year is flying by.  The Summer Mini is another great one – such cute, cute stamp sets.  There’s a 2-step jumbo wheel!  That’s the best of two worlds!  I’ll definitly have to get that one for us to try!  It should arrive in your mailbox around the middle of May.  Clowns and cowboys, a great verse set, really nice friendship set, a beach set – and a  wheel with flip flops on it!  You’re going to love it!

Waiting, waiting, waiting……….it makes the weekend seem so long!  Monday morning the list of retiring stamp sets from the 2005-2006 Idea Book and Catalog make it’s debut.  Can I wait that long??  sigh.  Check back on Monday for the complete list!  Then you’ll have until June 30th to grab all your favorites before they’re gone for good!
