Soft and Fresh

But it didn’t photograph very well. This is a 3 x 6 card made with the upcoming Sale a bration set Fresh Vintage.  I realized after I had made it that the embosslit is retired.  I stamped the floral image in Whisper White and then stamped over it – slightly off (yes, I meant to do that) in Early Espresso.  In real life, it’s not so blurry – promise!

Supplies
Stamp Set – Fresh Vintage, Elementary Elegance (SAB sets)
card stock – Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink – Craft Whisper White, Early Espresso
Etc – Simple Flower embosslit (retired), 1/8 Very Vanilla taffeta,

It’s funny how I look at the photo as I’m putting it up and start thinking about how I would change it!  Enjoy – Hugs, Fran

So Happy for You

There’s not much time left of Sale a Bration!  Today I’ve been playing with So Happy for You and have come up with some cards that are very simple – but cute.

I will give you the dimensions and colors for this one and just show you the others and tell you the colors.  They are all the same.

Start with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Daffodil Delight and score at 5 1/2.  This is your card base.
Cut a piece of More Mustard 5 1/8 x 3 7/8.
Cut a piece of Whisper White 5 x 3 3/4 and emboss it using the Dot embossing folder.  Layer it on the More Mustard.
Adhere a 7″ piece of the wide striped Daffodil Delight ribbon to the front of the layers by taping the ends to the back of the More Mustard.
Cut a piece of Daffodil Delight 2 x2 and layer a 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 Whisper White on top.
Stamp your flower 4 times in Daffodil Delight and cut them 5/8 x 5/8.
Punch out 4 pieces or More Mustard with your 3/4 punch and layer your flowers on them.  Space them evenly on your layered piece.
Add little pearls to the centers. Put 4 dimensionals on the back and adhere it over the ribbon.
Use a Daffodil Delight and More Mustard Stampin’ Write Marker to ink up the 4 You sentiment from Tiny Tags, stamp on Whisper White and punch it out with the Tiny Tag punch.  Punch a piece of Daffodil Delight with the tag punch.
Tie a piece of white floss around the wipe ribbon and tie it – then tie your tags onto the floss and tie a bow.

Then you can make it in Real Red and Cherry Cobbler with the heart image –

and in Old Olive and Always Artichoke with the shamrock.

Have fun making these.  And if you don’t have this set yet – hurry!  It’s free with a $50 order only during Sale a bration!
You still have time to win blog candy!  Just leave a comment on this post and I’ll draw a name on Sunday.

Another Sweet Summer

I still had the Ice Cream Parlor DSP out on my desk when I started casing a card on Splitcoast (you can see it here – it’s beautiful.).  But once my eyes wandered over to that Melon Mambo paper – Yikes!  I was using it again!

How much pink can you take?

Stamp sets – Sweet Summer SAB, Friends 24/7
card stock – Ice Cream Parlor DSP, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, watercolor paper
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Melon Mambo,
Ect – Scallop punch, 1 3/8 circle punch, Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon, aquapainter

I’ll try to use something than Melon Mambo to give your eyes a rest – but no promises here!  Hugs, Fran

This One’s for Katie

Last weekend my oldest daughter came by and found me stamping (imagine that!)  She enjoyed watching the process of creating a card and had lots of input on this –

The flowers are going around a Top Note die piece.  I punched the leaves with the 2-Bird punch and put them down first.  It was fun to get input from her – and I promised her I’d post the card this week.  So Katie, here you go!

Stamp sets – Happy Moments (SAB, Heard from the Heart
card stock – Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Old Olive, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink DSP, Thoroughly Modern DSP
ink – Chocolate Chip
Stampin’ Write Marker – Pretty in Pink
ect – Top Note Die, Big Shot, Trio Flower punch, 2-Step Bird punch, 1 3/4″ circle punch, Circle Scissors, Pink taffeta ribbon, double circle punch (inside of flowers)

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Happy Moments

Here’s another sample I did for Leadership using two SAB stamp sets – Happy Moments and Whimsical Words.  I love this color combo – Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry – especially since the polka dot ribbon matches!

I masked the flowers at the bottom and colored them in with the Stampin Write markers.  The little slip of DSP on the left side is from Razzleberry Lemonade.  The sentiment is done with markers too.  I’d suggest doing the stamping and then adding the ribbons – it’s just easier!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Good Neighbor

Here’s a card using one of the Sale a bration stamp sets – Good Neighbor.  Stamp the houses and trees in Real Red, Old Olive and Creamy Caramel, on scrap paper and punch them out with the 1 1/4 circle punch.  Layer them with the 1 3/8 circle punch.

The polka dot Real Red ribbon was knotted and then taped to the back of the Old Olive textured card stock layer.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Night of Navy- but this card could handle lots of different sentiments. Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
