Can You Case Love?

This beautiful piece of framed art is from our demonstrator magazine – front cover – couldn’t even open the magazine without pulling out supplies to case this!  The frame is one I had sitting around here so I had to readjust the layout to fit.

Here’s a tip for getting all the phrases fairly straight – use your grid paper and a very soft pencil to make small tick marks.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – p.s. I Love You, Sweet Cake, Candy Conversation
card stock – Very Vanilla smooth and textured, Cherry Cobbler
Ink – Blushing Bride, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Calypso Coral
Etc – Framelits Hearts die, Full Heart punch, Timeless Type alphabet, Dazzling Details, Vanilla 1/8″ ribbon, Vintage Trinkets, Heart Trio punch

The Dazzling Details is on the little row of hearts below the Cherry Cobbler “Love.”  I should put this out in my classroom – but I kind of like having it in my office.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Love in Red

Take it to the Heart has a very sweet Valentine-ish image with children playing.  I did the card in Real Red and Whisper White using the Finial Press embossing folder – I think it has an old fashioned look to it and goes very well with this set.

Nothing complicated – just a Valentine!

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Take it to the Heart, p.s. I Love You
card stock – Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink – Real Red
Etc – Finial Press embossing folder, Framelits Hearts die

Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Bordering on Romance

This card is for a high school friend that found me on Facebook.  The new Loving Thoughts stamp set came in handy!  Nice to have options!

I stamped the flowers several times on water color paper so I could cut them out and pop them up. I used a sketch that Mary Brown did for a small note card – enlarged it and added some ribbon.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Bordering on Romance, Loving Thoughts
card stock – Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, Twitterpated DSP, water color paper
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, Pear Pizzaz
Etc – Scallop Border punch, Framelits Labels die, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Very Vanilla seam binding, Basic pearls, aqua painter

Now to get this mailed – enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

More Apothecary

You might get tired of this card layout before I’m done.  Maybe that’s why it’s featured in the Occasions Mini!  So here it is again in Baja Breeze –

I used Dazzling Details on some of the flowers – not sure you can see it in the photo, but it’s there!  I also want to add that at first I didn’t really like Dazzling Details.  It seems to smear and not be very sparkly.  I have totally changed my mind – because I finally shook the bottle up a bit!  Now it’s even, sparkly, and on about every other project I’m doing!

I hung some little flowers from a Vintage Trinket pin –

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Apothecary Art, Netting

Hang on to Your Love

I saw a really cute card done by Lori at Linking Aloud and cased it using SU products.  It’s sweet and simple – and uses lots of stamp sets (which I’m famous for and need to stop doing!)

Lori had hearts hanging on a wash line – I used the new Bordering on Romance set to create a wash line and masked off the sides.  The line around it is drawn by hand.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – I (heart) Hearts, Bordering on Romance, p.s. I Love You
card stock – Whisper White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake
Ink – Real Red
Stampin Write Marker – Basic Black

I ran down to Savannah Georgia to get my son settled back in to school this week – fast and furious but we did it!  So today I am trying to pull lots of things together in my stamp room.  My Christmas tree is still up but I’m guessing it won’t harm anyone if it’s up until this weekend   Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

Another Designer Cut

There are two card designs in the Designers Cuts Card and Envelope set.  I showed one yesterday – and here’s the other.  Isn’t the heart beautiful?

The banner is from Take it to the Heart and the sentiment is from Loving Thoughts.  The inside is finished the same way as the Designer Cut card I showed yesterday.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Take it to the Heart, Loving Thoughts
card stock – Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Designer Cuts Cards and Envelopes
Ink – Early Espresso, Blushing Bride
Etc – Basic pearls, FInial Press embossing folder

These will make a nice set of cards – easy and elegant!  Hugs, Fran

Designer Cuts

The new Cards and Envelope set Designer Cuts (125414) in the Occasions Mini is beautiful!  The laser cut designs are so delicate and Very Vanilla and Blushing Bride are lovely together.  With a little bit of “extra” I came up with this design.

I embossed a pieced of Very Vanilla and layered it to the front with the pleated ribbon wrapped around it.  The inside piece is only adhered to the back –

Supplies
Stamp Set – Elegant Thank You
Card stock – Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Blushing Bride, Designer Cuts Card and Envelope set
Stampin Write Marker – Blushing Bride, Early Espresso
Etc – Movers and Shapers die, Designer Label punch, basic pearls, Blushing Bride pleated ribbon, Finial Press embossing folder

Purple Tea

Happy New Years!  Can you believe it – it’s 2012! I hope everyone had a joyous and safe New Years Eve.  I played around with some of my new stamps and came up with this card using Tea Shoppe from the upcoming Occasions mini.  It also features the new Doily die.

Supplies
Stamp set – Tea Shoppe
card stock – Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Concord Crush DSP
Ink – Versamark
Stampin Write Markers – Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder
Etc – White embossing powder, Concord Crush ribbon, Doily die, Oval punch

This is one of those card that I like the “idea” better than the card itself.  But as The Grinch says – “That’s what these tests are for!”  I hope the first day of the New Year is wonderful – and wish you 364 more just like it.  Hugs, Fran

Mixed Bunch

Happy New Years Eve!  I think it’s appropriate to end the old year with a look to the New Year so here’s another sneak peek of the Occasions mini starting January 4th.  This set is called Mixed Bunch and there is a matching punch available for it – a favorite feature of any set!

The base of this card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 (8 1/2 x 4 1/4 scored at 4 1/4.)  When placing the flower on the top of the card, you want to make sure it goes no higher than 5 1/2 so it will fit in an envelope.  Grid paper makes this easy.

Supplies
Stamp Sets – Mixed Bunch, Sweetly Said
card stock – Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Basic Black, Whisper White, Bold Brights paper pack, Pretty in Pink
Ink – Melon Mambo, Basic Black
Etc – Blossom punch, Beautiful Wings embosslit, Scallop Trim border punch, basic pearls, Bird Builder punch, Neutrals brad, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder

Have a safe and happy New Year – see you in 2012!  Hugs, Fran
