Dress in Style

I’m working on a couple of projects using the Dress Form Framlits (imagine that?) and want to show you something else that’s fun to do with them!  Aren’t these cute?  Kimberly Van Deipen has a video on how to do the skirt.  When I did these, I only had the little teeny tiny spools – and I think the larger ones work better.  These were so small I had to anchor them with washers.

This is a great time of year to find tulle.  With wedding season coming up – it’s everywhere.  Just think of all the things you can use to decorate these!  Pull out all that stuff you’re hoarding keeping for something special!  I’ll show you more when I get these projects finished – but you go right ahead and try this now!  Hugs, Fran

Little Birthday Wishes

Little party hats!  Aren’t they cute?  I cased the layout from Mary Fish and changed the image to make it birthday.

Then I changed the colors.  And added a rhinestone

Supplies
Stamp Sets – A Fitting Occasion
card stock – Whisper White, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse (Basic Black, Real Red, Bashful Blue)
Ink – Jet Black Stazon, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse (Basic Black, Real Red, Bashful Blue)
Etc – 3/4 and 1″ punches, Primrose ribbon, Ribbon edge punch

I think this will be the 5th card for my Birthday Card Bash.  Still spots open – you should join us!  Hugs, Fran

Change the Look again

I had one card left from club and thought I’d change it up a bit by changing the sentiment.  Of course, with a band aid on the front, I couldn’t change it up too much!  The original sentiment is from the Patterned Occasions Sale a bration set.  I used a sentiment from Word Play  to change it up – look at the difference!

Do you have a preference?  Hugs, Fran

SAB Feeling Sentimental

Less than a week to go to get Sale a bration goodies!  This Feeling Sentimental card also uses Lacy & Lovely for the sentiment.

Based on a display board, this is a 3 x 6 card in Sahara Sand and Basic Black.

This is one that Shelli showed using the Delicate Doily tape as a stencil.

A take on another display board sample.  Love the antique feel to this one!  It’s a great set!  Hugs, Fran

Sycamore Street Gate Fold

Here’s a version of the gate – fold card that Linda Bauwin showed me at Leadership.  What a great way to show off both sides of the pretty Sycamore Street Designer Series paper!  I wrote up my version of her instructions for the fold and you can find them here.  (It’s not the entire card – just the fold.)

Supplies
Stamp Set – Madison Avenue (SA
card stock – Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo, Whisper White, Sycamore Street DSP
Ink – Island Indigo
Etc – Simply Scored tool, Scallop circle punches, Sycamore Street button and ribbons

Hope you’ll give it a try – it’s fun!  Hugs, Fran

Bloomin Marvelous Friend

This card is a variation of one I’ve done before – just a different sentiment.  This sentiment is from Paper Pumpkin – did you sign up for the first kit?  I had a few of these cards in various states of “together – ness” – so I switched out the sentiment to give it a different look.

This is one of the cards I did with a group of middle schoolers.  At least, this is what I designed.  What they created were flower gardens!  I so wish I had taken a picture – but it was moving fast around there   The centers on my card were done with a Rose Red Stampin Write marker after inking up with Pretty in Pink.  (and that funny looking thing next to the sentiment is a rhinestone – really, it is!)  It is amazing what happens with paper and ink sometimes!

Hugs, Fran

Madison Avenue

This is my version of a card shown at Leadership – I think it’s one Shelli did at the Sale a Bration shin-dig right after our event.  It’s a cute card and the little tiny strip of Silver Glimmer paper is a sweet addition.  There are only 10 days left of Sale a Bration!   (It goes by like Christmas!)

Stamp Sets – Madison Avenue (SA, Petite Phrases
card stock – Pool Party, Sycamore Street Designer Series paper, Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver Glimmer
Ink – Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade
Etc – Sycamore Street button and ribbon, Baker’s Twine, 2 1/2″ Circle punch, 1″ circle punch, Scallop Circle punch

I will really miss the Sycamore Street Designer Series paper when it’s gone.   It has such happy colors!  Hugs, Fran

Comfort Cafe Cute

Comfort Cafe is a Designer Series paper that I didn’t fall in love with until late in the catalog year.  The soft colors (Cajun Craze, Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla) are so pretty.  For this card, I cased a card that Karen Burniston did – just used my Stampin’ Up supplies.  The heart on the front is from the Hearts a Flutter framelits.

I used the Ornate Frame insert in my Stampin Up Pop N Cuts base.  The die cut “Scribble” is retired – sorry!  (I forgot!)

The heart is suspended on fishing line and the floating floor is a template that Karen has on her blog.  Don’t you love Cajun Craze and Soft Suede?

Supplies
Stamp Set – Curly Cute
card stock – Comfort Cafe DSP, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Ink – Cajun Craze, Soft Suede
Etc – SU Pop N Cuts base, Ornate frame insert, Hearts a Flutter Framlits, Scribbles Sizzlit, linen thread, Soft Suede taffeta ribbon, fishing line

It just goes to show that we need to use what we have!  You never know what you will find.  Hugs, Fran

You’re Spec Tacular

I had one more sparkly pair of glasses left from this project and decided to make a card.  I used the single stamp Spectacular (again) to make it and did the sentiment in My Digital Studio.

Supplies
Stamp Set – Spec Tacular (Single stamp)
card stock – Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Basic Black
Ink – Jet Black Stazon
Etc – Dazzling Detail, rhinestones, black dotted ribbon

I think I’m going to take the decorations off of the front and spray it with shimmer mist to make it sparkle even more!  But I’m taking an all day stamp class today – so it will have to go on my “to do” list!  (And that’s a LONG list!)  Hugs, Fran
