Happy New Year! Today I’m sharing a card using a stamp set called All Things Thanks from the upcoming Occasions catalog. For this card I used the Bokeh technique. I took the colors from the new Succulent Garden Designer Series paper – Old Olive, Mint Macaron, Calypso Coral, and Sweet Sugarplum. The mat around the water color paper is Gold Foil and I added some gold sequins and small dots using a gold pen. It’s a nice way to show off some of the large sentiments. Wishing you the best! Hugs, Fran

Creative Circle April Blog Hop -#Imbringingbirthdaysback
In honor of Shannon West’s (from Stampin Up) campaign – I’m Bring Birthday’s back – this month’s Creative Circle Blog Hop is a darling, perpetual calendar!
The box has two cubes that can be rotated for the days of the month (remember that the 6 is also the 9), a flip top for the months, and a space int he back to hold your birthday cards so you can actually mail them out! (I am the worse!)
I used the Whisper White Heavy card stock and the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Pack to make mine. This paper stack has 48 sheets of double sided paper in it! My balloons on the front are from Balloon Celebration and are punched out with the matching Balloon Bouquet Punch.
This card uses the bow from the Cutie Pie Thinlit, more It’s My Party paper and the Elegant Dot embossing folder.
This card uses the Picture Perfect stamp set and Blushing Bride.
And last, but not least, this card uses the Bokeh technique. You can find it on Splitcoast here.
You can get the pattern here:

Spring Coffee Lover
I thought I’d make a card for Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Can you see who’s hiding in my coffee cup? Take a close look –
I used Stampin Up’s Botanical Builder Framelits for the flowers, the bird punch for the leaves and the English Garden Designer Series paper. The cup is from Karen Burniston’s Cup Pop Stand, stenciled with her Medallion stencil and some stencil paste. When you open it up –
Lucky the Rabbit pops outs! 🙂 The sentiment is from Stampin Up’s Helping Me Grow. And hidden behind Lucky –
Is the Sleigh Gift Card Holder Pop Up by Karen Burniston. It’s holding a wonder Starbucks card!
To make Lucky’s arm hang over the cup, I simply snipped where it was attached. Instead of using a large pearl on the inside, I punched a small circle in white and use Crystal Effects over top of it. This will keep the bulk down. Enjoy your coffee! Hugs, Fran
First Sight
This is a case of the card on page 36 of the Occasions Mini – First Sight. To make this card, I stamped the flourish image in Blushing Bride on a Blushing Bride card base. Then I spritzed it with some shimmer spray (alcohol and shimmer paint. And since I can never stop when spraying stuff, I splattered some gold Encore ink over that 🙂
Using a banner framelit, I stamped half the sentiment on top in Crumb Cake and the rest of the sentiment on the bottom. The heart is Calypso Coral stamped in Calypso Coral and punched out – with the Mother on a strip. I wrapped gold thread behind the heart. The stampin part is a bit fussy – get out your stamp a ma jig – but it’s not hard. Try it! Hugs, Fran
Day 2 – Pull Cards
I LOVE coffee! But more than that, I love drinking coffee with friends. Here’s a Hanging Charm Pull Card to celebrate friends and coffee! Using the new Karen Burniston Hanging Charm Pull Card die with the little coffee cup die and Stampin Up’s Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper, I did a simple card.
When you pull it up, you complete the sentiment. You can use this die to make flat cards (postcards) or decorate the front of a folding card – your choice. Today I did a folded card.

Creative Circle Design Team March Blog Hop
This is a special blog hop! In April, the Creative Circle Team will be doing a Make the Rounds class the day before the Stampin Up On Stage event in Salt Lake City AND doing a Kit To Go option. Here’s a sneak peek of the class. It includes the box and 3 cards-
This is the card holder/box for the class.
For this month’s challenge I’m going to show you an alternate way to use the kit from the upcoming class.
For this design I used the box, fence and grass from the kit. The Birthday Bouquet Designer Series paper is from the Occasions Mini The eggs are made with the Oval Framelits. This is the side view –
The “flaps” are only attached on the bottom so the box opens like this –
I used a small piece of velcro to close the top of the box. Here’s another design –
The stamp set is Balloon Celebration from the Occasions Mini. I used the Balloon Bouquet punch for the balloons. It opens the same way.
Want to attend the class in Salt Lake or purchase the Kit to Go? Click here for event info and class to go details.
Make sure to hop over and see what the rest of the team has made! Hugs, Fran

Helping Me Grow
Helping Me Grow is found on page 20 of the Occasions Mini. I cased the Mini Treat Bag shown there and it it so cute@ Using watercolor paper, I stamped the image in Stazon ink and water colored it using ink and an aqua painter. The little label is embossed in white and tied on the front using twine. Hugs, Fran
Going Global
I’m watercoloring the world today! For this card I heat embossed in white on watercolor paper the World Map stamp and did a wash with Lost Lagoon, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. Then I stamped part of the sentiment from Going Global on Black card stock and embossed it in white. The “you” is from Hello You Thinlits. I cut it out 3 times, coated it in Crystal Effects and attached it to the card.
All of this is mounted on a card front cut from the Heavy White card stock. Hugs, Fran
Sunburst Shine
I’m still playing with glitter 🙂 This was made with a stencil that was in a kit last year. I no longer have the kit – but I saved this stencil! To make this card, I inked the back of the stencil with Versamark and adhered it to a piece of card stock that was covered with Elizabeth Craft Design double sided adhesive. The gold glitter was poured over the open spaces and then the stencil was carefully removed. Then the rest of the adhesive was glittered with Cool White glitter. Shine! I embossed in gold the greeting from Sunburst Saying (Occasions Mini) and popped it up in the center of the sunburst. Confession – it would have been really smart to add the sentiment before I covered the space with glitter – but I didn’t! It’s stuck but it would have been easier the other way! Have a sparkly day! Hugs, Fran
Karen Burniston Design Challenge Day 2
Lucky the Rabbit is getting ready for Easter! This month’s challenge is glitter and this card is covered with it! It’s a Fancy Label Accordion – and a lot more. Behind Lucky are some clouds stenciled with Karen Burniston’s Partly Cloudy stencil. Lucky is painting an egg from the Easter Egg die all done with Silk Microfine Glitter. His paintbrush is the spatula from Props 8. I cut down the handle and dipped it glue and several colors of glitter. The paint drops and splatters are from the Cake Pop Up (candle flames and strawberry tops.)
The edges are from the Star Fancy Edges and glittered too.
Here’s the card open!
The sentiment is from Stampin Up’s new Greatest Greetings. To make the paint bucket, I used Lucky’s basket cut in Silver foil with drops of glue and glitter. Make sure to check out the other cards on Karen’s Blog! Hugs, Fran
