Starting on the February 21 there are 3 more Saleabration items to pick – Glimmer paper (!) and 2 stamp sets. This is one of the upcoming sets called Reverse Words. The two stamps say “hooray” and “cheers.” I paired it with Balloon Adventures to make this card. The base is Tempting Turquoise and the colors are Tempting Turquoise, Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango. I added some sequins and drew the lines with a marker. Hugs, Fran

Paper Pros – Shake It Up
Today I’m participating in a Paper Pros challenge – Shake it Up! I chose a birthday shaker featuring Rocky the Crab popping out of the ocean to wish you a great day! I used a nestled stitched square for the shaker part and Karen Burniston’s Rocky the Crab, Palm Tree & Pail, and Beach Edges and Agatha Edges (bottom of card) to decorate it. The Happy Birthday is from the Stampin Up SAB set Designer Tees. Perhaps a bit too much shaker bits (again!) but boy does it shake! And that’s the point 🙂 You can find all the shaker madness by clicking the links below. Hugs, Fran

A Little Bit of Love
This 3 x 3 shaker note is perfect to tuck in a package for your Valentine. I started with a 3 x 6 piece of Real Red, scored at 3″ to make a little note card. I already had the negative of a square, cut from another project so I trimmed it down to 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and put a piece of acetate on the back. Using the foam strips, I made a box on the back and filled it with little shaker bits and some heart from the Confetti Hearts punch. After adhering a piece of white card stock to seal it up, I die cut a Red Glimmer Love to the front and a white embossed You from Crazy About You. Hugs, Fran
Valentine Gift Card Holders
Valentine’s Day is almost here and I have a gift card holder to share with you. (Because what says “I love you” more than a Venti White Mocha?) This starts with a 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Real Red scored at 4 1/2, 5 1/2 and 6 1/2. Put some strong adhesive right on the inside of the score lines and die cut, punch or simply cut the top of the sealed area. This makes a space for your gift card. Decorate the inside and out of your holder and wrap with a belly band.
My belly band is 1″ wide and is decorated with Sending Love Designer Series paper. The heart is punched from Red Glimmer paper and the Love is die cut from Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.
I made some 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 envelopes using the envelope punch board to hold these and they fit perfectly! Hugs, Fran
Butterfly Birthday
Here we go with a trio of cards simply creaTed because I cut way too many butterflies. I watercolored a piece of watercolor paper with Peekaboo Peach, Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette and then die cut some butterflies using the Butterfly Thinlits. With the leftover piece I used the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches to punch the rest. This gave me a lot of butterflies!
Using Gorgeous Grunge and Suite Sentiments, I created 3 background pieces and placed all the butterflies around the sentiment.
That’s a little strip of Glimmer paper down the left side – hard to see in the photograph! So now there are 3 cards – similar but different. Hugs, Fran
Valentine Tiles
I made a little pouch to hold a gift card and decorated it like a Scrabble board. You could use this idea on a card, box – just about anything that you can draw squares on. My squares are 3/4 x 3/4 – not an exact fit, but it worked. I glued the tiles to the card stock. The little hearts are from the Confetti Hearts punch and covered in Crystal Effects.
The flap closes with tiny magnets. Hugs, Fran
Chicken Love
I needed a funny Valentine for someone special so I decided to use the crazy chicken in Hey Chick (Salebration) to peek out and send my love. (You can click on the picture to make it larger ) This is a 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 card with the “love” part done as a shaker. I arranged the letters with a heart from Sweet & Sassy framelits and cut them out of Real Red. The chicken is stamped on the backing of the shaker and a few hearts are attached to the top of the transparency. The letters are filled with sequins. Then I used the left over letters to make this card –
The DSP on both cards is Sending Love from the Occasions Mini. Hugs, Fran
Jar of Love Fish
Little fishes wishing you a happy birthday! I stamped the background using Playful Backgrounds in Soft Sky and Marina Mist. The little fish from Jar of Love are stamped in Tangerine Tango, die cut with the matching die and popped up on the front. The balloon is from Confetti Celebration. It’s fussy cut and popped up – with the string cut above and below the sentiment. I added Crystal Effects on the open circles, stamped another background image on the strip in the middle and it’s ready to celebrate! Hugs, Fran
Valentine Treats
More treats! While I still had my embossing paste out from yesterday’s project, I decided to try to use it on some of these little glassine bags. You have to work quickly on glassine so the paste doesn’t spread. I was still using the Hearts mask and was able to do two bags at a time. Once it was dry, I added a red Glimmer paper “love” and tied it off with some pretty red ribbon. Filled with treats, they look pretty! Hugs, Fran
Butterfly Wishes
This idea uses the Flower Shop stamp set. First I stamped the Melon Mambo card base with one of the flower stamps. Then stamp the flowers, used an aqua painter to create a pool of color, and then stamped over the images with the stamp. The background is Shimmery White (which does fine with water) and the punch is the Elegant Butterfly. Then I sprayed the entire card with some home made shimmer spray. I suggest spraying the stamped part and then putting the card together! Hugs, Fran
