Party With Cake

Party with Cake 01

Party with Cake?  Is there any other way to party?  This is my take on a card on page 6 of the Occasions mini.  The front uses the new Party with Cake set and the Lots of Labels Framelits.

Party with Cake 01 inside

And the inside uses the Party Pop Up Thinlits die.  To easily attach the letters to the die, I just ran them through my Xyron and made them into sticker.  The pop up only has one fold so it’s easy to make.  Have I said “easy” enough?  Hugs, Fran

Cupid’s Bow

SVG Cupid Arrow

Valentine’s Day!  This Cupids bow is from SVGcuts.com and is a decorating piece.  I think I’m going to hanging it in my wreath.  It’s large – about 7 x7  – and very sturdy.  I made a change to the assembly and instead of using a dowel rod for the arrow, I used a cute Valentine’s straw.  Hugs, Fran

Quick Valentine Treats

Bear Hugs 01

Need a quick Valentine treat?  Use the Bear Hugs, stamp set found on page 40 in the Occasions Mini catalog.  Stamp the big bear in Chocolate Chip ink on Crumb Cake card stock.  Die cut the bear, flip him over and stamp him again.  Stamp the heart in Real Red ink on Real Red card stock and die cut.  Fill a skinny cello bag with treats, swipe a bit of adhesive across the bear’s chest and stick the cello bag down.

Bear Hugs, 01 detail

Gently curl the bear’s arms around the bag and use glue dots to attach the heart between his paws.  Hand them out and watch people smile ! Hugs, Fran

Party Pop Up

Party Pop Up 01

Another catalog case using the new Party Pop Up dies.  These easy to use dies make your cards hold a fun surprise.  I used the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack.  It has 48 sheets of cute designs!  That’s a lot of paper 🙂

Party Pop Up 01 inside

Inside is the other die – popping out to celebrate.  That’s a fun card!  Hugs, Fran

Beautiful Ride

Beautiful Ride 01

This is my take on the Beautiful Ride card shown on page 15 in the Occasions Catalog. I used Pacific Point and Pool Party. (I believe the sample is Bermuda Bay and Pool Party – but hey!) I stamped the car in Pacific Point on Pool Party yardstick and added some color using a blender pen.  The suitcases were colored with Stampin Write Markers, fussy cut and adhered to the top of the card.  Hugs, Fran

To My Darling Hanging Charm Pull Card

PIU Charm 03

One more Hanging Charm Pull Card from Karen Burniston’s Pop It Ups – this one using the heart charm.  The paper is Stampin UP’s Timeless Elegance Designer Series paper.

PIU Charm 03 open

This is how it looks when it’s pulled up.  It reveals an embossed sentiment from Stampin Up’s Hostess set , Happy Birthday Everyone.  Around the outside of the opening, I used Elizabeth Craft Design Peel Off Stickers.

PIU Charm 03 side

Again, I made this one into a full card.  Love all the variety in this die set!  Hugs, Fran

Hanging Charm Pull Tab Heart

PIU Charm 02

Sending Love on a string!  This Karen Burniston Hanging Charm Pull Card using the heart charm is perfect for Valentine Day.  I used Stampin Ups beautiful Love Blossoms  Designer Series Paper for the center.

PIU Charm 02 open

When you pull it up, the heart dangles above the hidden sentiment.

PIU Charm 02 side

I made this one into a full card.  You can leave it as a postcard style if you’d like.  You can find Karen’s video on how to make a Hanging Charm Pull Card here. Lovely!      Hugs, Fran

Love You Sew

Love You Sew 01

Isn’t this a great sentiment?  This is Love You Sew, a hostess set from the Occasions Mini.  I paired it with Number of Years and the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series paper to make this card. I could give out lots of this card – even give one to myself!  Hugs, Fran

Kick Up Your Heels

PIU Charm 01

This is the new Hanging Charm Pull Card from Karen Burniston using the  Props 6 cowboy boots and hats.

PIU Charm 01 open

The mechanism pulls up to reveal the sentiment.  You can put this on a postcard style card and write your message on the back or put it on a regular card and have it open up.  The front background is done with  the paisley stencil and stencil paste on patterned paper.  Hugs, Fran
