This card is for a sweet young woman who just finished vet school! So of course I had to corral some Karen Burniston animals to congratulate her 🙂 They are posing in front of the Barn Pop Stand. The card is 4 1/4 x 9 and will easily accommodate a check or gift card.
The idea is that all the animals have come to wish her well. Check out the bandages on each one.
Looks like everyone is healing nicely! Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
In honor of Shannon West’s (from Stampin Up) campaign – I’m Bring Birthday’s back – this month’s Creative Circle Blog Hop is a darling, perpetual calendar!
The box has two cubes that can be rotated for the days of the month (remember that the 6 is also the 9), a flip top for the months, and a space int he back to hold your birthday cards so you can actually mail them out! (I am the worse!)
I used the Whisper White Heavy card stock and the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Pack to make mine. This paper stack has 48 sheets of double sided paper in it! My balloons on the front are from Balloon Celebration and are punched out with the matching Balloon Bouquet Punch.
This card uses the bow from the Cutie Pie Thinlit, more It’s My Party paper and the Elegant Dot embossing folder.
This card uses the Picture Perfect stamp set and Blushing Bride.
And last, but not least, this card uses the Bokeh technique. You can find it on Splitcoast here.
You can get the pattern here:
To see all the other wonderful designs for this pattern, follow along on our hop! One lucky person who leaves a comment will win the pattern 🙂 Hugs, Fran
Whoa! It’s bright! I was just messing around with the Sunburst Thinlit Die and thought I’d see what it looks like embossed. So here it is – in all it’s bright glory! I die cut the sunburst first and then ran it through the Big Shot with Tiny Triangles embossing folder. The stamp set is Sunburst Sayings and the paper is from It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Pack. Hugs, Fran
This card is a re-do of an oldie but a goodie. I originally saw the layout from Sandy McIver several years ago. This recreation is done in Marina Mist and So Saffron. The stamp sets are Gorgeous Grunge and Everything Eleanor – with Trust God as the sentiment. It’s such a nice, flat card, even with the butterfly, making it easy to send.
Pretty Pink! The sentiment on this card is from Remembering Your Birthday and it’s perfect for this card. I used the retired Hearts Framelits to make a series of hearts – one stenciled with Karen Burniston’s Flower stencil and glitter, one with the sentiment and one small heart.
Open it up – and you have a pink Pop It Up Cake with lots of glitter!
Karen has a great video showing how to make this background. But be careful – glitter is addicting! Hugs, Fran
This is a case of the card on page 36 of the Occasions Mini – First Sight. To make this card, I stamped the flourish image in Blushing Bride on a Blushing Bride card base. Then I spritzed it with some shimmer spray (alcohol and shimmer paint. And since I can never stop when spraying stuff, I splattered some gold Encore ink over that 🙂
Using a banner framelit, I stamped half the sentiment on top in Crumb Cake and the rest of the sentiment on the bottom. The heart is Calypso Coral stamped in Calypso Coral and punched out – with the Mother on a strip. I wrapped gold thread behind the heart. The stampin part is a bit fussy – get out your stamp a ma jig – but it’s not hard. Try it! Hugs, Fran
This card uses Flower Patch and the matching die, Flower Fair Framelits. I tried several color combinations – Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party, So Saffron and Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Real Red, Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder and Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango. The centers are embellished with the Metal Rimmed Pearls. Can you think of any other good color combos? Hugs, Fran
This card is made with the Large Number Framelits dies and a new Saleabration set coming out of the 15th of this month – Party Pants. The 1,3 and 5 are die cut and colored underneath and the 2 and 4 are popped up.
Then I added lots of Candy Dots! Inspired by one I saw online (I think it was Mama Elephant) that used little numbers, I knew I could make this with the Large Numbers (just fewer numbers.) I think this would make a cute kiddos card or switch up the numbers, have it say 29 – and send it to me 🙂 Hugs, Fran
Lucky the Rabbit is getting ready for Easter! This month’s challenge is glitter and this card is covered with it! It’s a Fancy Label Accordion – and a lot more. Behind Lucky are some clouds stenciled with Karen Burniston’s Partly Cloudy stencil. Lucky is painting an egg from the Easter Egg die all done with Silk Microfine Glitter. His paintbrush is the spatula from Props 8. I cut down the handle and dipped it glue and several colors of glitter. The paint drops and splatters are from the Cake Pop Up (candle flames and strawberry tops.)
The edges are from the Star Fancy Edges and glittered too.
Here’s the card open!
The sentiment is from Stampin Up’s new Greatest Greetings. To make the paint bucket, I used Lucky’s basket cut in Silver foil with drops of glue and glitter. Make sure to check out the other cards on Karen’s Blog! Hugs, Fran
Glitter! This month challenge is glitter. That wonderful, sparkly stuff (that stays with all day) and makes all our cards special 🙂 Today’s card is Rocky the crab on an Oval Pull Card. He’s out on the sparkly sand. His sunglasses are the Santa glasses from Props 5 covered in Crystal Effects. His bright, sunny paper is Stampin Up’s Schoolhouse Designer Series paper.
Glitter is hard to photograph! It was done with the ECD Silk Microfine glitter in Cool Diamonds.
Here’s the inside. The sun is on the mechanism from the Rectangle Pull card and it’s covered in glitter. The sentiment is computer generated.
Here’s Rocky taking a better look! I’m wearing glitter today. Check out the other cards on Karen’s blog. Have a sparkly day – Hugs, Fran
