This simple card was made using the Stylish Stripes embossing folder on each end of the card stock so that there is an empty spot to decorate in the middle. It was inspired by one on Pinterest done by Kerry Bunting. She used a different EF and stamp set – but the idea is the same. For the Birds would make a cute set of cards using this technique.
I masked off the words, stamped the image and then stamped the words to the side and colored the image with Blendabilities. Hugs, Fran
You’ve seen this one before but yesterday was class 7 in my Blendies classes and this was the sample.. Wow, these ladies have gotten very good with their Blendies! I thought I’d show you 4 more variations on this card.

When I first saw this stamp set – Perfect Peacock – I knew I would have to order it just so I could sit and color! Very therapeutic 🙂 I colored him up with Copic Markers and used a sentiment from Trust God, punched with the large oval punch, to finish the card. Of course I added some Dazzling Details to the flowers and rhinestones down the side. The tiny flag behind the sentiment is from the Banner Framelits – just a little piece of the smallest banner. Coloring peacocks is actually part of the Animal class at Kit and Clowder (if you want to learn more about coloring!) Copics used – B12, B14, B24, B28, B29, B99, E33, Y15, Y38, YG03 and BG 49. BYOP – Buy Your Own Present! This set is perfect for the front of a gift card enclosure card! I colored the letters with Blendies starting with the darkest color at the bottom of the letters and moving up to the lightest. I even colored the Back to Black Designer Series paper!

I love this Valentine set from the Occasions Mini – Hey Valentine! For this card, I colored the fish with my Blendabilities and used Karen Burniston’s new Rectangular Pull Card for the card. The “wave” edge is her new Beach Edges. The glasses on the yellow fish are filled with Crystal Effects 🙂
As you open the card, there is a mechanism (optional) that pops up so your card becomes even more interactive! Too cute!

This card is the new Tags Pivot Card from Karen Burniston. I paired it up with Stampin Up’s Love is Kindness in the Occasions Mini. The card base is stamped with the Dictionary background stamp and the image was stamped, colored with Blendabilities and fussy cut. A little Typeset Designer Series paper and some Chevron ribbon finishes off this card.
There is a little, tiny piece of one of the flowers that was added to the front to keep the bouquet full. Hugs, Fran
Time to Celebrate is one of the hostess choices in the Occasions Mini catalog. A friend of mine and I love these images and she “challenged” me to make something with them. I did some very clean and simple cards – simply stamping the images in Momento Tux Black ink and coloring them Blendabilities. The only addition are some Candy Dots in the corner.
