Weekend Sketch challenge

I’m not sure why I saw the Beate’s weekend sketch challenge as an acetate card – my brain is slightly off kilter with all these snow days, I guess – but I couldn’t get this idea out of my mind.  Unfortunately it’s much more “stunning” in mind than on paper!

The stamp sets are Time Well Spent (level 3 hostess) and Stem Sayings.  I cut a piece of acetate 5 1/2 x 6 and scored it at 4 1/4.  Stamp the acetate with white Stazon (yes, I love this stamp on acetate and yes, you’ve seen me use this before) and tape a piece of Turquoise ribbon all the way around it.  I actually put the Snail on the ribbon and adhered it to the acetate. Sandwich the scored flap between a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Tempting Turquoise and a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White.  Put a mini glue dot in each corner of the  front of the 3 1/4 x 3 3/4 piece of Tempting Turquoise DSP – lay it on the inside of the card and close the card.

To make the flower, stamp it on some Taken With Teal 3 time, Tempting Turquoise DSP once, Whisper White once and Tempting Turquoise card stock once.  Cut the various layers out and stack ’em up!  I used my white gel pen to color in the “dots” and the center flower.  Adhere with dimensionals making sure that you only put them where they won’t show through when the card is opened.

Stamp the Stem Sayings down the right hand side (twice) and you’re finished!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
