Here’s a cute card using the stamp set Season of Friendship. It’s a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 base in Dusty Durango. There is a 5 1/8 x 5 1/8 layer of Crushed Curry and the image is stamped on a 5 x 5 piece of Whisper White in Chocolate Chip (trunk) and Old Olive (leaves.) The bird and the sentiment are stamped directly on the paper. The flower is inked in Crushed Curry and punched out using the 3/4 circle punch and adhered with dimensionals. The centers are colored in with the Dusty Durango SWM.
To step it up a notch, trim the main image to 4 1/4 x 5. Instead of matting the image, cut a 5″ strip of Crushed Curry and use the Scallop Edge punch to make a border on the right side. Wrap a piece of Dusty Durango Polka Dot ribbon over the seam. Stamp the sentiment on a separate piece of Whisper White and mat in Chocolate Chip. Stamp the bird in Crushed Curry and cut him out and adhere to the front with Dimensionals. Cut out the flowers and punch out centers for the flowers in Dusty Durango and adhere with a Two Way Glue Pen.
Want to bump it up one more step? Pierce the scallops using the paper piercer. Add a flower slide to the Dusty Durango Ribbon. Add Crystal Effects to the petals of the flowers and stamp the bird twice and adhere it together only at the front so you can lift his tail and give it some dimension!
Now you try! Take one of your cards and step it up. Post a link here so we can all enjoy your creations. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
