Happy New Year! I hope this year is all and more that you dream it can be! I made this card last night while waiting for the “ball to drop” (and kids to get home safely) with the now retired level 1 hostess set Eventful. I have a friend going through chemo and hope this will bring her a smile. The card base is Regal Rose and then a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 layer of Bashful Blue. The background paper is the now retired Petals – which made it so easy to create a background, since it’s already done for you! To get the word window punch in the bottom, I punched adhered the background paper to the Bashful Blue and punched through those layers and then adhered it to the card and punched again. (The punches will not – and should not – go through 3 layers of paper) Then I traced the outline onto the Whisper White sheet inside the card and used my Stamp a ma jig to place the words right where I wanted them. The little hanger was stamped onto Whisper White and then I scored around it to give it an embossed look. Adhered it to a piece of Regal Rose and popped it up on Dimensionals.
As an extra treat I wrapped a Cadbury chocolate bar with some Pretty in Pink from some long ago retired paper. This cute saying is from Time Well Spent – a new level 3 hostess set from the Spring/Summer catalog. I colored the flowers with a Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Write marker and layered it on Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip card stock. Tied some of the yummy Chocolate Chip satin ribbon from the Theater Ribbon Originals around the chocolate bar – punched a hole in the sentiment tag and tied it on with Pink Gingham ribbon. Then I adhered the entire thing to chocolate bar so it won’t move around! This little cutie only takes a few minutes to make and now I have something cute to give her when I see here this week! Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Fran that card is soooo cute! I have yet to try the candy bar wrapper, but that set is definitely for a chocolate lover.
Best wishes to your friend as well!
Suzanne

I just love the card. That is the cutest. I saw that set in the catty but wasn’t sure I liked it, but I love the way you used it on this card. I am sure she will love it.
Love the candy bar wrapper, so cute and looks very cute for Valentine’s.
TFS
I love the idea of using the saying “too much of a good thing…” with chocolate. What a perfect match. Chocolate is always a good thing and you can never have too much! You did a great job on both the card and the candy bar. TFS!
Fran your card is so pretty, and I’m sure your friend will appreciate it! Love the candy bar too!
Happy new year sweet friend!!
