Gift Tag

I found a mug at Starbucks that is perfect for Samantha’s French teacher for the end of the school year!  It says “Good Morning” in lots of different languages – and is in Old Olive, Really Rust and Chocolate Chip!  (Okay – I usually don’t do things this far in advance, but I just couldn’t pass this up!)  I made a tag for it using the SOON TO BE OVER Merci set.

The Old Olive base is 3 1/2  x 6 1/2 folded in half, 3 1/4 x 3 Chocolate Chip layer and a 2 3/4 x 3 piece of watercolor paper.  I watercolored using my aquapainter in Really Rust, Old Olive and Bashful Blue – and highlighted with my Really Rust, Old Olive and Bordering Blue Stampin Write Markers.  The “Merci” is punched out with the small oval punch and adhered inside the oval frame.  Then I stamped the butterfly on Vellum card stock, bent the wings with my bone folder and adhered just the center to the butterfly.

Now – can someone tell me how to write “Thanks for being my teacher” in French?  (I’d sure hate to get THAT wrong!  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran
