Color Challenge

Splitcoast’s color challenge today is Always Artichoke and Groovy Guava.  This card uses Doodle This on Shimmery White cardstock  – stamped with Jet black Stazon and watercolored with Groovy Guava and a blender pen.  I do love to take my bone folder and gently shape the petals to give them dimensiom.  The button was added to the center.  Stem Sayings is stamped on the background piece of Shimmery White and masked so I could stamp the Polka Dot background stamp on top of it.  The leaves are petals from the flower stamped on Always Artichoke and cut out and adhered with a mini glue dot.  The background in wheeled with the Doodle wheel in Groovy Guava.  The card base is the new textured cardstock – it’s wonderful!  I lined the inside with a piece of Whisper White and stamped “Thank You” from Much Appreciated.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Fran

  1. OMG! Fran! This is pure genius! I love how you used the petals from the flower to create the leaves! AND … masking the stem so you could stamp the polka dot background! You think of everything!!!!

  2. A great use of both these sets! TFS

  3. I love the watercoloring and dimension of your flower, and how you made the leaves! Gorgeous!! Your backgrounds are also very beautiful! Wonderful, as always! 😉

  4. What an adorable card! Doodle This is one of my favorites and I love that button for the center of the flower. Great tip on masking the Stem Sayings to stamp the polka dots.
