For those of you struggling through tons and tons of snow – I just want you to know that we had less than a inch of snow last night and they closed the schools for today! This was to be the first day back – sigh…….. Okay, enough of that!
This lovely technique was shown a few weeks ago on Splitcoast. I just love the look – though the picture doesn’t pick up the Dazzling Diamonds. The card is Not Quite Navy (5.5 x 11 folded in half) You tear pieces of post it notes and mask off the bottom of the Whisper White cardstock. Then you start with the lightest color – in this case it was Bashful Blue – and you brayer on the ink. Move up with the next darkest color – Brocade Blue – and repeat the process. The last color add to the top was Not Quite Navy and then you sponge around the edges of the sky and the skyline before removing your post it and stamping the trees in Basic Black. I added some “snow” with my Signo gel pen and then went over all the trees and the snow lines on the ground with my two-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds. This picture doesn’t come close to showing how pretty this look is! Mount the Whisper White on Basic Black and adhere to the card. Enjoy! Hugs, Fran
Very pretty – I love the gradient blue sky.
I really love the Brayer Background it gives Depth to your card. And the way you added some Snow on the trees. It looks so real.
You did a beautiful job with this technique, Fran! This is so pretty and sparkly!!
